I bought this to make french fries and wanted something that was nontoxic. This is perfect. The design keeps oil from splashing all over the oven. I love it.

The heat Guage only goes to 200°. That's barely warm enough for frying. Very disappointed.

I bought this to fry some food at home as I do not have a dedicated fryer. Very easy to setup as you just need to put on the lid and connect the rack on the lid. Pour some oil in and turn on the stove. My food fries just fine and I had no issues when eating. My issue comes after that. To clean the oil, there is a small fold for ease of pouring the oil. The fold isnt too angled so the oil ends up on the side of the bowl as I pour slowly. Also the inside of the stainless steel bowl discolored to a goldish color. Potentially the stove was on too high so that might have been my fault. Still I would use this as it worked well with my food and I understand the caveats to it.

This is perfect for frying, very easy to use. It’s a decent size in width but it is fairly deep. Easy clean up, like shown in the picture.Overall I really like this especially because of the attached drying rack.

Over all this works great. But for a family of 4 it is a bit of a challenge. This is good for a 1-2 family household. It’s made well and it’s really easy to use. Makes tempura great.

Despite the title, this fry pot does do a good job of frying food without breaking out a cumbersome appliance. Used it to cook chicken tenders and some egg rolls. There is enough room in the pot to cook 3-4 chicken patties, or about 5-6 chicken tenders depending on size. There is no basket to lift food out, but a pair of chopsticks or tongs does the job just fine. I used this on an electric cooktop on medium heat. It took a while for the oil to heat to an appropriate temperature and adding food made the temp drop quickly. Once it reaches a good temp it holds the heat well. I would definitely avoid turning the burner on high though, as medium heat was plenty to reach 350F.There is a draining rack that clips into the lid of the pot to allow oil to drip back into the pot. I did not attempt to use this as I felt the weight of cooked food might tip the pot over. Similarly, a thermometer is included. Be warned that it reads temp in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. When threaded through a hole into the pot, there are metal tabs that let it rest on the rim. I found that food would run into the stem of the thermometer and knock it out of place. One last thing, the lid locks into place via a metal tab that latches into a hole in the lid. I had some trouble lining up the tab and hole the first few times and attempted to force the lid down. This ended up slightly denting the rim of the pot opposite the tab.
