It was fine while it was working but then it started turning itself off? Couldn’t figure out what I did wrong so I’m going to assume that item was defective or overheated. When it worked it was powerful and good for an event but I had to get something else more reliable.

This fryer is simple and easy to use, providing the minimum of controls to get the cooking job done. Unboxing and assembly took ~15 minutes including a soapy rinse for the basket and fry tub before the first use. Construction is spot-welded and riveted stainless steel sheeting which makes the unit pleasingly light. In use, the oil heats up quickly with no noticeable smoke. It takes about 3/4 of a gallon of oil to fill to the minimum level line, pressed into the oil tub. Temperature of the hot oil was measured within 5°F of the dial setting. The basket is large enough for two pieces of chicken thighs, which cooked up crispy in 5-7 minutes for an internal temp of 165°F. The cover does not fit flush with the top of the fryer but stays in place while cooking. Removal of the oil tub is made easy with two retractable handles, although these seem to interfere with the cover fit. Overall, recommended if the kitchen has enough counter space.

Was expecting a little more from this fryer. Wish is may have gone up a bit more in heat. It does this thnig where is doesnt stay the temp while the fryer is on, more of a on and off type of thing. So while at times the fryer would be hot and frying it would all of a sudden not fry as hot when the light turns off.
