I love to read and as a result have numerous books, (some of them are rather large and heavy) and have been looking for quite some time for some heavy weight book ends. When I saw these adorable cacti shaped book ends on Amazon, they made me smile and seemed to be heavy weighted. I ordered them immediately and when they arrived, I was super delighted with them!These two beautiful bronze colored cast iron book ends are a great heavy weight to hold my larger books, and I just love the appearance of the cacti- They look like they are waving, and I still smile every time I see them. My brother said they remind him of the figure "Gumby," (a cacti version, of course!) and I think they look like they are beckoning me to read the books they hold!I highly recommend these whimsical book ends. They are of premium quality, really add character to any type of decor, and are guaranteed to bring happiness to everyone who sees and purchases them!

Great Southwestern Cactus themed book ends. Heavy and look great. They hold my books upright on the shelf jusdt as you'd expect them to. Prefect for my decor.

These bookends are nice but not so heavy that they would hold up a large number of tall heavy books. They do well to keep heavy short books upright but nothing tall or they slip. Neither piece has slip-resistant rubber feet so unless you buy some to place on these, the type of surface you place these on to hold up books will also matter. Otherwise, they are beautiful and hold up a small collection of books just fine.

I really like these bookends. They are heavy, nice medium size, and very nicely crafted. They are a beautiful cactus design, with a brass finish and an animated pose that look as if they are waving to the viewers. For a low-tech low maintenance decorative touch, these items are perfect. Would look great on an office bookshelf, or at home. I am 100% pleased with this product!

I am very happy with the Decorative Bookends Cactus,Heavy Duty Vintage Cast Iron Book Ends Book Stopper Holder for Shelves Living Room Office Home Decor, Antique Bronze, 1Pair/2Piece.I love these cast iron book ends! I love how heavy they are, and that they are sturdy enough to hold heavy books upright.I love quirky, happy design of the cacti! They almost look like they are smiling.And I love the antique bronze look. Very classic. Personally, I hate the contemporary method of using stacks of books for book ends. Whenever I see that, I feel a strong desire to go and stand up all those books! And I've never considered myself to be obsessive compulsive before... So I'm collecting book ends, but decided to go with unique pairs, rather than getting dozens of plain black metal bookends. These cast iron cacti will make a lovely addition to my collection.
