I have many pots in the same Cuisinart series, needed the 6 quart pot to complete my set. This pot is great for cooking pasta, long fresh green beans, a few potatoes....anything you don't quite need the 8 qt pot for. Great quality! Highly recommend.

This is a good quality stainless steel saucepan that heats evenly. It's thick, sturdy and well-made. The design is simple yet elegant, with tapered rims that not just look good but also act as a pouring lip.The handles are riveted at a certain angle that helps when lifting the saucepan. They stay cool and are flat rather than round-ish which one may or may not find comfortable. Making sure the handles feel comfortable is important because the saucepan is relatively heavy. This is especially true if you often lift the saucepan off the stovetop when cooking.I have been using it for a few months now and I have no complaints other than that the lid could have been a bit more tighter. Also, the insides have developed a few hard water stains but they can be cleaned easily. At the given price, the saucepan is a good value for money.

The pot works, well . . . like a pot. But the reason I bought it was the prospect of a durable, extremely flat bottom (for use on a glass stove top). It delivers on that promise. And the stainless steel is easy to keep clean. Heat distribution is even and the lid works (meaning: no drips, easy to lift off and a good seal). You get what you pay for with this pot (i.e., it delivers on cooking, and is not cheap, but it's not overpriced either).

I think the pot would be great for stews.. but I bought it for frying eggrolls. I wanted a kitchen aide but it’s hard to find separately without the set so I wanted to try this one. Unfortunately it does not compare to the kitchenaide one we’re using. The handles get unbelievably HOT! Under the pot is hard to clean. And I’ve only used the product once and made the inside of the pot turn brown. And can’t even get it out! For the price I paid was definitely not worth it for what I needed it for. Like I said I’m sure it’s good for other things maybe boiling soup or whatnot. But if you’re looking to use it to fry.. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I wanted a pot with a stainless steel lid; I got a pot with a stainless steel lid.I wanted a pot with stirup handles; I got a pot with stirup handles.I ordered a 6 quart pot that would weigh less than a 10 quart pot; I got a 10 quart pot. That said, this is a very nice pot with a very flat and efficient bottom. It is so efficient that it burns at the lowest setting on an electric range. A better application might be a gas burner.tt

Yes they are made in China but Very good quality was surprised!!Nice thick heavy pots. Handles riveted on. True induction pots not only heating the bottom but heat goes right up sides of pots as well but handles do not get hot. Metal lids fit well. Glad I did not spend 3 or 4 times as much for other name brands!!

I debated between french classic or multi-clad with the pouring lip. I chose the multi-clad and my first use was cooking pasta which left chunks of metal seemingly to be eroded away, and you can feel the ridge. Not impressed, as my cheaper cookware never did this!

I already owned a set of these pots and pans, but needed something in between the 8 quart and 4 quart. This 6 quart is perfect for pasta, potatoes, etc. And the two handles make it easy to drain water from the pasta. The way the handles are designed, you don't have to use pot holders- they get warm but not hot. But what I like best about the set is the way it cooks so evenly. I had a set of triple ply stainless for thirty years and was amazed at the difference. I have yet to cook anything on high (no need!) and have not had anything stick! Very easy to clean, and though there is some discoloration on the inside, the outsides still look new! I have no complaints at all about this cookware!

I bought the Cuisinart Stainless 6 qt pot for several reasons: 1) I preferred something lighter than our heavy, enameled cast-iron Dutch oven that can be unwieldy; 2) was easy to clean; 3) heats up quickly, especially for cooking pasta; 4) could be used on stove top and oven, and intensive and, 5) easy to clean. After 3 months of various uses, it has met or exceeded all the desireable qualities we were looking for The large, flat "ears" allow for a good grip to increase the safety of a hot container and the flat rim makes an even, steady pour of liquid contents. We have not observed any rust spots or discoloration. I also like that the handle on the lid is high enough to get under it easily with a glove or fingers. As an aging cook with decreasing strength, I find this item being used more frequently with great pleasure and short of making meat or vegetable stocks for canning, it is just the right size. It is a welcome addition to the kitchen.

I am updating this review a month later. I have been treating the mirror finish like it was non-stick. It is so highly polished that nothing sticks. Great value. You won't be sorry.I like this pot. It is superior in many respects to my collection of the original All-Clad (stainless steel over anodized aluminum). What you need to know:* Unlike lower priced models, the layering goes all the way up the sides. an important feature.* Unlike higher priced models it does not have a layer of copper.* The handles (sides and lid) stay reasonably cool. No potholders required.* The lid is tighter fitting than it appears to be.* Maintaining the mirror finish on the interior requires treating it like Teflon. However, scratches would have no effect on performance.I measure performance by heat retention and heat distribution. Over the last few days I have made mussels meuniere and chili. I was very pleased. The pot is easy to clean without steel wool. If anything does stick (thus far it has not), you can boil it away with some detergent added to the water. That bluish haze that you sometimes get on stainless is easily removed with vinegar.

The primary purpose for buying this saucepot was for a hot water heater, since our water heater died on us recently. It is an excellent product, and heats up water for a bath rather quickly, 15 minutes or less on medium heat (old house, 41 years old, don't want to overtax the wiring) For washing dishes you can warm up some water in a hurry, we do dishes by hand, old school. It also comes in handy for say, cooking a lot of ears of corn. Easy to carry, nice and solid, not heavy, and retains it's heat. This is the newer version as mentioned in the description. Also available in 8 and 12 quart sizes, but six quarts are just fine, not to heavy to carry, and the handles get warm, but not too hot to handle. We like it.
