This kit comes with everything you need to make two little crabs, but there are no printed directions, you have to scan a QR code for the directions on how to actually make your crabs. The yarn and all other supplies are included. This is a great beginner kit.

If you get excited about miniature things and you crochet and you like to crochet miniature things, you want this kit.The kit includes the tiniest cutest skeins of yarn. The kit includes enough materials to complete both dogs. Including yarn and safety eyes.This kit even includes two crochet hooks, making it a great option for a slumber party activity, or an activity to complete with a friend.There are no written patterns in the box, however there are QR codes for YouTube videos and written instructions. I wish the written instructions link went directly to a PDF, but accessing the written instructions is easy enough and there is a download option, if you want to take the pattern on the go.The instructions are clearly written and include an overview of terms and stitches.Because it is so tiny, I am not sure I would recommend this as a kit for absolute beginners, but the yarn is TEENY TINY soft chenille yarn, that does not split, and even better practice yarn is included.The needle is smaller than you typically see in these kits, but makes sense for the size of the project and it is metal, which makes a massive positive difference.Overall I think this is a great little kit.

I wish I had read the description with more attention. Having to scan a code can be inconvenient if you are in an area that is rural without access to internet. Like camping and road trips. It's also much easier to have a paper on hand with directions instead of looking at a small screen.

I ordered both the 3 kittens kit and the 2 dogs kit. Both make very cute, small amigurumi. The yarn is a lightweight velour type yarn in which, it is somewhat difficult to see the stitches when crocheting into them. The written instructions and videos for these kits are accessed only with included QR codes in each kit. The instructions are abreviated and some knowledge of crochet is necessary. The videos are visually helpful. I found the kittens easier than the dogs as they have more tiny pieces to crochet and attach. Everything is in each kit to complete the projects with instructions accessed only through QR codes included in the kits.
