My car was having an issue with an occasional surge causing a check engine light. Even though my car passes the emissions portion of the state inspection, but I cannot get an all-clear. After looking at a multitude of YouTube videos, I narrowed it down to a possible vacuum leak. I did manage to get a smoke machine to test for any leaks. There were none, but I am in a “replace it before it breaks” mindset with my car. I replaced the hoses with these even though they were still serviceable. Hopefully I will be able to drive my car past 18 months without some idiot totaling it like my last two. I smoke tested everything again and found no leakage!
