XL is perfect for my 85 lb puppy, because he can’t chew on it like a normal size tennis ball that he so loves, and I don’t have to worry about him accidentally swallowing the ball. Ball flys pretty far, so make sure you have the room to throw it.

You need a big chuck it. Our 11month old is pushing 90lbs and loves playing with the chuck it at the park! We noticed the medium size standard chuck it (that you can get at any store) is WAY too small for him now. We were afraid he’d get it stuck in his throat or something.In comes this lovely purchase and it is amazing! Ollie doesn’t have much speed because of the way he is built so even though it doesn’t throw as far (because ya know size and aerodynamics) it’s perfect. He loves running after it and now we don’t have to worry about accidental swallows.I do highly recommend upgrading the ball to the xl rubber chuck it if your dog is a chewer of felt fabric like ours is. The 3 pack is worth it and the balls last quite a long time.

I throw the Chuckit balls with this launcher as many as three times a day. Jax my Golden Doodle must get his excercise in. He retreives the Chuck it balls for 20 to 25 minutes three times a day. He is most happy retrieving the balls and the launcher makes it easier for me to throw the ball further distances which really give him a work out.

Besides launcher becoming very brittle in cold weather. Which is natural. The glow balls do not throw as far as the normal orange balls. Other then the above mentioned. I love it and most of all my Doberman loves it. I bought 2 more. My Doberman chews the heck out of the balls . I never had a problem. But the tennis style balls he will chew in half in seconds.
