The outer case is a standard clone, available at a national discount highly advertised retail tool supplier and others. The inside is some type of black foam but cut -- with the cutouts still in place -- to fit the the tool. The tool is not a drill, saw, etc., but an impact wrench often used for automotive repair. As a result, despite the best efforts, there will be various forms of automotive debris on it, typically oil/grease with road grime. One can wipe the tool after use, but in time, this will build up on the foam. The Milwaukee OEM tool cases, generally not sold on Amazon, have a blow molded "plastic" interior that fits the specific tool and that can be cleaned to remove oil, grease, etc. Also, this case uses plastic latches, unlike the metal latches used on Milwaukee OEM rigid tool cases (not the zippered soft cases for certain tools). I strongly suspect that these latches will fail in use. The case does use metal hinge pins, and thus two, not one, stars.

This is a great case for a 2767-20 M18 FUEL High Torque 1/2" Impact Wrench. It is durable and waterproof and the tool fits the foam slot perfectly. The case is a very hard durable plastic that protects the tool well from drops, and it stores away well. It is well worth the money.

Iβve got several aftermarket cases and this one, by far is absolutely exceptional. Itβs everything in a case that you would want, locks well-no zippers, and case is super strong.

Used this for my 1/2 inch Ridgid High Torque impact wrench. Nice case and had to do minimal modification to the foam. My impactor, batteries, charger and some other small items fit in the case. This is a good case for my Ridgid Impact Wrench.

I got this for my M18, 1/2 in. Impact Wrench (2863-20) and it works great. The wrench & batteries fit perfectly in the pre-cut foam inserts in the case that are easy to remove to provide the proper fit. As an aside, I got this because the one thing that annoys me about Milwaukee tools is there tools often just come with a soft sided case or bag which you can't really stack for storage. This solves that problem. Continuing..It has two points on each side of the case where you can pad lock it if you wish. Another nice feature it has latches that area released by pressing down on the red release tap on the latches. They didn't work perfectly when I first opened the case, but with a little graphite lubricant, they work great. Hopefully they will last. That's about the only issue I could see arising as far as durability goes since they are spring loaded.I would put this up with the Pelican or some of the other higher end cases, but with just a smaller price tag. While I haven't tested the water proofing, I don't plan on leaving a $350 tool in a pool of water. Also, this case would probably be good for other tools or even small fire arms. You'd just have to change out the bottom foam insert to a thick foam for proper fitment.I highly recommend this case.
