This is not what I thought it was. I have no idea what I thought.....however the T21-4 quick disconnects are typically used fir bicycle tires and inflatables and air mattress because its smaller. So I will find a use for it at some piont. Its what was described in the pist. Seems to be good quality.

Works great. Fits the machine as well as the adapter I have for external CO2.

I am hesitant to review this, because it doesn't resolve the problem it was purchased for, and obviously that may not be attributable to any adapter. I have a clone machine for the older SodaStream bubble machine, called a DrinkMate. The thing worked like a champ for some months, and then suddenly stopped. It might send one shot of bubbles, but then, nada. This adapter was an effort to remedy that problem.I liked that it is aluminum, rather than steel, which is overkill for the pressures this thing has to deal with. The internal components are brass, which should work well. The thread for this one start (the right one in the second picture) right at the edge of the body, which makes it more difficult to thread into the machine since there is no guidance. You can see this in the picture, the left adapter thread doesn't being right at the leading edge, giving some alignment help.Otherwise, this version varies in no functional way from the others in my collection. So something else is clearly involved. You likely will have no trouble using this on your old style SodaStream or other machine that uses the obsolete CO2 bottle threading. Just another attempt to extort money from SodaStream buyers.

At the initial installation, I had no leaks and all was fitting perfectly (hand-tightened). I then realized that under CO2 pressure, there was a little bit of slow gas release. The reason is that the high pressure can loosen these kind of adapters, and they need to be re-tightened for good seal. In fact, I easily could screw this one in for maybe 2 more turns once the system was under pressure, and I had fizzed a few bottles. When I opened the feeder tank, I now heard a loud hiss. This additional tightening unfortunately caused the piston of the Sodastream to touch and depress the adapter shut-off valve slightly, and a very audible amount of CO2 came hissing out of the Sodastream from then on. I only could stop this by shutting off the feeder tank. In short, the gap between the piston and the adapter is too small to tighten in the adapter properly. My previous adapter, which corroded a bit due to water backflow, did not have this or any leaking issues at all. I hoped that this one was superior for its single piece cast aluminum housing, but it unfortunately should have been designed with a more recessed shutter valve.

Would not screw into soda machine. Too hard to screw in, wouldn’t go in all the way without a lot of force. Threads are messed up. And yes, I’m not a moron, I know how to screw things in, this is defective.

I used this for a SodaStream conversion to 5lbs tank of CO2. This piece hooks onto a piece of tubing that runs from the tank and this piece is essential in fitting into the SodaStream hole. This works as intended, it fits well and it is easy to use.

This CO2 filling adapter works perfectly! It connects easily, feels solid and well-made, and makes refilling my soda machine super convenient. No leaks, smooth operation, and a great way to save on CO2 refills. Definitely a must-have for sparkling water lovers!
