This pack of thumb tacks are simple and minimalistic. They're your basic set of pins for bulletin boards, walls, etc. They're pretty sturdy and look nice and clean. Comes in a big set and super useful to have!

They work fine, but most thumb tacks or small nails have a small flare right before the tip, to help hold the tack or nail in the wall. These do not, so they slide out very easily with the slightest pull or tension. Since I'm just using them to keep the edges of my insulated curtains against the window frame, they work as they're supposed to, as long as nobody touches my curtains.Probably the best thing about them is that they come in their own plastic container, so I can store the ones I'm not using and not have to go digging around for them when I need them later.

I am recovering an old chair that I picked up 50 years ago upon the death of my grandmother. These nails will work very well to hold the new fabric to the chair.Another reviewer stated the nails they received did not the the head well centered to the nail. This is not the case with the nails I received. The heads are well centered on the nails. Nothing wrong with the batch I received. Good product.

The nail is not well-centered on the head. So if you carefully mark your tacking positions and start the tacks there the heads won't line up unless you turn each nail to the same position relative to that offset.That's only going to be a problem if you set these close together and if you're bothering to mark the positions to achieve some sort of precision.Otherwise these are sturdily constructed and I don't see the nail separating from the head anytime soon.I don't think I'd do it again, but I'll definitely find uses for these, just positioning them carefully if I need precision.
