It came in a B&S box, but the filter itself is not marked the same as the pictured filter or the original filter. I suspect that it is not OEM. I tried to change my filter and discovered that this filter cannot be turned 1/4 turn clock wise to lock it in because it is not made correctly. I had to put the old filter back in to move the mower back into the garage. One star is way too high for this item.

Other filters on Amazon claim to fit the Vanguard system (same filter # and engine models), but are a couple of millimeters too long to twist lock into the oil reservoir

Exact fit and identical to the factory installed filter. Don’t use those inferior aftermarket parts on these expensive engines. Protect them with the good parts.
