About this item

  • Precision Cuts: 6" vertical, silicon feather delivers continuous and consistent pressure along the leading edge of the workpiece for a clean and consistent cut. Flexible feather allows for variation in applied pressure. Perfect for cutting thin strips.
  • Versatile: Flexible feather accommodates variations in shape and thickness of material and holds firm. Perfect for holding flat or odd shaped material. Works with fence and resaw guides. Base doubles as a square for setting the fence.
  • Fast and Easy Set Up: Miter Cam pivots in the miter slot to set in position. Simply position the GuidePRO with the feather in front of the blade, apply desired pressure as you push the workpiece as you move the wood forward to within a 1/4” of the blade, and press down the locking lever. Torque on the miter cam holds the GuidePRO in place. Your hands are free to guide the material through the cut,
  • Non-Marring Feathers: Silicone feathers won't damage your work piece and dampens vibration. Feather applies side and top hold on small pieces. Feathers are replaceable if damaged.
  • Specifications: GuidePRO comes with 3 miter cams for 15mm, 5/8” and 3/4” miter slots to fit most band saws, Sliding base enables fit on any table with a miter slot that ranges from 2” to 8” from the blade; GuidePRO is 7” tall (table surface to top)

Safety and Precision - The GuidePRO Difference

The video showcases the product in use.The video guides you through product setup. The video compares multiple products. The video shows the product being unpacked.
  • The principal difference with Bow Featherboards is the use of EVA for the feathers combined with our living hinge feather design. These 2 features combined create safer and more durable woodworking products and accessories.

  • EVA is an industrial grade super strong material that is pliable yet has memory. EVA closed-cell technology is firm, durable, and will not shed or bleed color. Less rigid than hard plastic, EVA absorbs vibration and will give before it mars wood.

  • While plastic feather boards can mar and damage soft woods, EVA is soft and strong enough to protect your workpiece. It conforms slightly to the wood for improved infeed control. EVA also absorbs vibration and chatter for a cleaner cut.

  • If EVA feathers accidentally contact a blade or router bit, it simply cuts through without a violent reaction. It will not harm the cutter. Simply replace the EVA feathers and the featherboard is as good as new.

  • As kickback occurs, the EVA feather moves back and pinches the wood against the fence absorbing kickback forces until our living hinge stops it while the feather is at its furthest extension. This virtually arrests kickback, protecting you from harm.

Have seen these on lots of YouTube videos, and finally decided to pull the trigger. I’m a cabinet builder and knew I was going to be reassign for an upcoming project. The featherboard made things so easy. Great addition to my bandsaw.

After I bought a riser for my bandsaw, I needed a better way to keep my stock next to my fence during resawing.I saw a recommendation for this device on YouTube. Glad I purchased it! It's easy to adjust & effortlessly holds the wood against my fence. Combined with a guide upgrade, I'm now cutting perfectly vertical resaws.

Wow, this makes resawing so much easier. Expensive but I say worth it.

This does work well cutting thin re-saws on my band saw, ( Harvey C14 with Laguna ResawKing) but it is a bit clunky and fiddley to set up and use. Design choices to make it versatile I guess. Rather expensive I think. I might do the stacked BOW fingers setup instead as I have a pair of them. The foam does work much better than hard rollers.

The feather guide is well engineered and well made. Seems that a lot of thought went into it as it works very well and is easy to adjust and re-adjust. Height really allows taller boards to be well supported when being re-sawn safely on a band saw.

Base model (this) great and a must have for ripping tall material. Only rated lower since extension does not positive lock in for ripping very tall material. Need to re-engineer both so lock together.

These are exceptionally simple but essential pieces of equipment for anyone who uses a bandsaw, particularly if your into re-sawing.They are very well made, solid and robust. They come with 3 different sized mitre cams, 15mm, 3/4 & 5/8 inches, so the guide will fit most standard mitre guides. BOW products have provided us with a great product and everything you need is in the box.Price and quality, 5 stars 👍👍👍👍👍

I slapped this on my bandsaw to do some resawing as soon as I got it, and it worked like a charm. I did buy the extender top piece as I routinely run larger pieces - my only gripe there was it was painfully difficult to swap the black piece - to me this is minor however as once it is in place you should be good for awhile - unless you damage it by hitting the blade or something.Make sure you look online to see the video on how best to use it, it will help. Go to Bow-Products.com and then find the Guide Pro, there are videos there to answer just about all your questions. Once you have it all figured out, it is simple to use. The black strip is firm and non-marring, I ran some rather expensive Koa through with the Guide Pro and the results were fantastic. The pressure it applies is constant, right down to the end of the board and the material it uses is such I am confident it will not damage my blade should there be contact. While using this I felt like the feed rate was slightly higher and I was able to maintain my focus on the piece and not worry about holding it firmly to the fence.Note, if you extend it a to near the end of the bar it becomes a little difficult to get it to "lock" firmly into place - the piece you are cutting essentially needs to be in position to help it hold steady. This is fine if you are working with something short, rather a pain if you are working with a 12' board in need of resaw. My only other gripe is the Guide Pro Anchor Bar is not included, for the price I think it should be. The bar should allow you to use the Guide Pro more effectively on your saws miter slot and also allows you to use the Guide Pro on your router or table or table saw (according to Bow). It is sold separately (again, it should be included in my opinion), With the price of the bar, if you buy the extender too, you are in around $125, I personally think this is a lot more than it should be, I figure you should be able to get all three for a single Benjamin. Also, you cannot (at the time I am writing this) buy the bar on Amazon, you have to go Bow-Products.com to find it.This said regarding the price, if you are on the fence at all just get the Guide Pro to start and give it a go, I think you will find it to be a great addition to the woodworking arsenal and should it prove itself to you, look at the other two pieces. Despite the price, if I had to, I would buy one again - to me it works that well.

I have had Featherpro products on my tables and bandsaw for over a year. They both work extremely well and have helped improve my results on both machines. When I first heard about the Guidepro, I wasn't convinced I would need one as I already had the Featherpro Duo and it does a great job at the bandsaw. My current project required me to make some veneer from stock that wasn't tall enough to reach the second featherboard on the Duo. This is where the Guidepro really shines. I can cut stock of nearly any height now without a loss of contact with the guide which is a very nice touch! Setup is simple, the one handed lock is solid, and the base has a built in ruler (etched no less!) which is handy for quick measurement and fence setup so I'm not fumbling around for the ruler "I just had a second ago." This means improved productivity in the shop.I ran one test cut on a piece of scrap to get familiar with the Guidepro. The second cut is the posted picture of a 54" long strip of cherry at a uniform 1/32" the whole length off a Resaw King blade with the Guidepro holding the stock.Overall this is a very well thought out and executed addition to the bandsaw. Setup and operation are simple, and installing and removing it is a breeze. Treat yourself and pick one up!
