I needed a sealed jar for my grounded up root tumeric, it's messy & stains. I wanted to contain it. I take a 1/2 tsp daily in my yogurt for my pinched nerve in my neck. It's stops the inflammation, which stops the pain. The sealed jar works so good. I even purchased another one for my mushroom powder, also for inflammation, keeps it contained & fresh!! Thank you.

I ordered this to make CDS (CD dissolved in H2O). It's just the right size to hold 300 ml of filtered or distilled water and a shot glass to which equal parts of the A and B solution to make CD are added (5 ml each). If you're looking for a jar for this purpose, this is the one.How I use this jar for making CDS:Fill the jar with 300 ml of filtered or distilled water. Set the shot glass with the CD solution inside and shut the lid. Store in a dark cupboard. Wait 24 hours and remove the shot glass. Save the CD mixture to another container and repeat the process by adding the shot glass with the same amount of activated CD one more time. Wait 24 hours. Remove the shot glass, and close the jar. The remaining product should be a CDS of ~ 3000 ppm (test paper can confirm). Do not inhale fumes and prepare CD and open the CDS container outside in fresh air as a precaution. In other words, follow all enclosed instructions with your CD kit (also sold on Amazon).The cleansing/maintenance amount that I use is 10 ml CDS in 1 liter of H2O taken in 10 doses throughout the day. This is the Andreas Kalcker method that I use and not intended as supplement advice for anyone else.CDS is good for sterilizing water, cutting boards, counters, washing produce, etc. Don't expose to any sunlight or to interior lights for very long for best results. Store in a cool dark place. This is a great prep item for emergencies and this jar is the BEST way I've found to make it.This jar is the perfect size for my purposes. It is very thick and sturdy and has a thick rubber gasket that makes it air-tight and holds in the CD gas for conversion to CDS. I recommend. My rating: FIVE STARS.

This is a 1/2 liter mason-style jar (17.5oz, I'm new to mason jars!). I got this for CDS chlorine dioxide preparation. It's the perfect size for a 350ml preparation, along with the "mini measure shot glass" (which is graduated to 30ml or 2tbsp). With 350ml of distilled water, it comes up near the rim of the shot glass, but just enough below it that you can grab the rim and pull the shot glass out, and also very gently move the whole thing around without sloshing the water into the shot glass. And there's not too much remaining air space above the water, which is another CDS preference when making. This jar is very solid and has a very nice thick solid feel to it.One caveot though. Even though the gasket is white, nowhere in the listing does it say the gasket is silicon. It only says rubber. And rubber reacts with CDS. But turns out(!), you can get "replacement mason jar gaskets silicon" on Amazon too! Apparently if it's a mason jar it's a standard size opening. So just to be sure, I also order a pack of replacement gaskets that I know are silicon, and tossed the gasket that came with this jar.

About 3.5 inches wide mouth - convenient.Capacity 1/2 L which is actually 16.9 ounces.Seems it will hold up to use. I will use it to store sugar. Insert gives instructions for use and care.

I bought this maybe 6 months ago, to hold my own beard balm concoction. The seal is amazing and the build quality and strength of the steel collar/hinges is top notch. The glass is very VERY thick and strong and looks amazing! Such an awesome jar!

At the time I ordered (one month ago) the Amazon price for this item was nearly twelve bucks. Now, it's listed about thirty percent less than that from Amazon, and about sixty percent less from other sellers. The price fluctuation is mildly annoying; however, I must say that I'm pleased with the jar itself. I use it in my bathroom to store salt for saline rinses, and it seems to be airtight. The jar is very sturdy, with thick glass, the metal rings and clasp are tight, and the gasket is pliable and seals well.Reading other reviews, it seems like you can't be sure if you're getting an authentic product or not. I am pleased with the jar that I got (seems to be a good one) and concede that it's probably worth the higher price that I paid. This is a nice-looking jar and would be suitable for storing many different kinds of things. Especially useful in kitchen or bath.
