In the pics it looks like the seat has shock absorbers or springs underneath but they are fake. The seat is very stiffly mounted on the pole. the seat itself seems to be well enuf made and is cushy

My hybrid (mens) mountain bike came with a much smaller seat and since the majority of my riding is street and mild trails, I opted for something more comfortable. This seat has been great! I would have preferred a light built into the back of the seat, but at least this one has a reflector built in. Having a separate light is better as it can be easily removed and recharged. It was easy to install and has nice padding as well as springs to absorb some shock for my bony rear end. I can recommend this seat for more comfortable casual riding. I also got one for my wife's cruiser bike, which she enjoys as well. No need for a new neck for the seat, it worked fine with the one that came on the bike. It can be adjusted, but only about an inch and a half, forward or backward but also can be adjusted nose up or down to best fit the rider.

Replaced the seat on my radcity ebike. Can ride much further without having to stand on the pedals to give my butt a break. Good quality. Overall good value for your money.
