The materials and strength of this helmet feel really strong though it is still light-weight. My issue with it is that it doesn't fit my head shape and puts a lot of pressure on my forehead, even with the expansion strap at the maximum. It just feels like it's too round, not made for an oval head shape. I wear other helmets that don't feel like this, so it's not just my head. It looks good and I have no doubt that it will offer decent protection in a crash. I just don't enjoy wearing it for long periods because of the fit to my head. Someone with a smaller head might have a different experience.

This has a very comfortable feel because of the extra, which is to say going fully around my head foam. In most helmets it is concentrated in a few key spots for, perhaps ,appearance, or air flow; either way I am not sure. It is not the last bike helmet I'll ever buy in my life, but it isn't priced anywhere near that either.I rated 5 stars because it is lightweight and is safe while being a bargain. What you see in the pictures is definitely what I got at least. In the summer it may be too hot... I'll update if it doesn't perform

Ordered this helmet for city driving on an electric bicycle. The helmet is for my partner who is a large boned male, 6’2”. His head circumference* is 59cm. I ordered the Shinmax Baseball Cap style helmet in size Large, black.
*The seller has an infographic about how to measure head circumference on other color variations for this product. Seems to be missing from the black helmet photo collection, but I found it and we measured according to their size chart. Included w/ my uploaded pics for your convenience.Safety Certification: Inside the helmet it has a sticker that says it complies with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission Safety Standard for Persons Age 5 and up. There is also an attached tag that says it meets the current minimum safety standard of EN 1078. In other words, it meets the minimums, but doesn’t offer protection beyond that rating level.First Impressions: Looks cool, though very basic. Matte black, skater style. No lights, reflectors, trim colors. It’s surprisingly light weight. Much lighter than I expected in a way that makes me question it’s strength. This urban bike helmet style has no ventilation on the top which makes it good for commuting on days with light rain, but there is front/back vents. When I showed it to my partner, he was very happy with the way it looks.Fit: Perfect fit!! Again, we measured his head circumference as 59cm (aka 23-inches) and the Large is just right. Straps are standard and easy enough to adjust.Final rating. This is a solid 4-stars (very good.) It’s a great budget friendly choice. Also Gen X friendly. He loves the style.
