Not breathable enough even for shoulder season use. Bottom strap wears out quickly. I use these without the bottom strap and they generally stay in place OK.

I like the little packaging. They have a little bag made of the thin ripstop fabric they are made from, like a small tent or compression bag you get from a camper outfitting store. The downside to my purchase is, the bottom strap has hook-n-loop (Velcro) fasteners to stow the tail away nicely, but only on one, where the other, did not have any. Some of the webbing straps had to be gone over with a lighter to singe the ends closed, as some were coming apart and had long strings dangling. It was as if one was finished properly, and another never got completed and got tosses in the finished pile. I am excited to give them a try, but I do have concerns with the stitching. There is a serger stitch all around the outside, and is exposed. On garments, these stitches are usually on the inside. This stitch is in a high abrasion area, and I don’t expect them to last long.I hike 13-25 kms, 5 days a week. I have a feeling I will be repairing these myself. Oh well, anything to keep sticks, stones and water droplets from my socks. Price is decent, but will they last for the value of cost? We will see. I might run a bead of glue or some sort of seam rape to prevent it.As for the seller themselves, they were quick to respond to my concern, and requested a photo. What we both discovered was that one was a different style tension-fastener than the other. Quality control missed the mismatch, yet, the seller was kind and refunded my purchase and singled they will pass along the chain to improved quality control. I have to say my experience was positive, and i was gonna just live with them as is, but they refunded me anyways. Hats off to the seller on the gesture and communication. I will be happy to deal with them in the future, and provide feed back on my 12,000 to 25,000 steps a day I may put these through.

Used these to climb the South Sister, which has includes a lot of screw and dust. They worked as expected and kept the rocks out of the shoes and were easy to put on. One pair was used with hiking boots and showed minimal wear after 17 miles. The other set was used with trail running shoes, and the bottom strap got cut on cut on rock after 12mi.

These gaiters kept every bit of forest debris out of my size 11 shoes. The fabric is light and the ankle cuffs work well. The downside: previous reviews of the buckle coming undone and the strap coming loose under the shoes are accurate. I've only used these once and one of the straps is already frayed and damaged on the end. There was a post from the manufacturer that they'd fixed the buckle. If they did, it wasn't passed down to me.However when I tried not using the strap and just tucked it into my shoelaces, the gaiter seemed to stay put and still kept junk out of my shoes. So for that I would give 3.5 stars if I could. I may try cutting the strap off, as other reviewers have said they've done, and use them that way.

i really wanted these to work as the gaiters i currently use take a bit to put on. Having the fixed strap with the Velcro on the front seemed easy to put on. Unfortunately the strap they goes under the shoe lands in the middle of the heal and there is no way to get it to go further forward between the ball and heal. my concern is traction issues with the heal and a quick wear on the strap.

The product needs to use stronger materials. Then I will give my five stars rating!

Bought these one and a half years ago to do dirty work outside, around house. Before getting them every time I would trim bushes, rake leaves, dig dirt, or do any messy job, sooner or later I would have to stop working to clean out a boot. This meant sitting down and taking off the boot or boots to get out some pebble, stick, leaf, or dirt. Not what you want to do in the middle of a job.Since getting these gaiters... NOT ONE TIME did I have to stop to clean out a boot!I guess that's why in those old pictures of the WWI doughboys in the trenches they all have lace-on gaiters over their boots (no Velcro yet). Because IT WORKS!Great product... highly recommend!
