Bought one of these several months ago. Just had a chance to use it and love the way it works. If you mount the latch in thin metal you can cut a piece of 2" ID stainless pipe about 15 mm long and use it as a filler between the panel and the latch mounting plate.

Perfect fit. Very smooth mechanism. High quality stainless steel Much better than plastic version. No need for modifications if replacing

Great product and fast shipping. I bought two of these latched to replace the worn out, broken ones. Looks fantastic and works great. One added note: depending on your lid or door depth you might have to go to a hardware store and buy shorter screws as I had to do. The screws that came with the product were way too long to tighten down the latch correctly, other than that, they worked as advertised.

This was exactly what I needed!! My Malibu Wakesetter came with a new teak swim platform and was missing the latch. The hole was pre-drilled and this latch fit perfectly. Fits flush against the swim platform with no sharp edges to catch anyone's feet on. When its time to surf or wakebaord just lift up the latch and put the wedge down. Operates smooth under the water as out. 100% would buy again

The latch is high quality and should work fine. The problem is the thickness of the hole on my anchor hatch makes a difference on what latch will fit. This one was about a half inch too thick for my panel and would not tighten down. I noticed the plastic ones have you measure the thickness of the hole before you order.

Looked good, Were a little thicker and diameter just a hair bigger than the plastic ones we replaced, so be aware of this when replacing plastic ones.
