I have the queen size of this fancy car-camping mattress. It weighs 11.2 lbs with the sack, and it's pretty bulky when folded up, but it's extremely comfortable. Much better than your average queen air mattress, which feels like laying on a balloon. This actually has foam inside and a flexible outer layer which offers some motion isolation that big vinyl beds don't have. Also, the edges don't sag unlike your average air mattress and it's 6 lbs lighter than my normal inflatable queen size. It feels really good to sleep on, it's the closest thing to my real bed that I'd be willing to take on a camping trip.Setting it up is not bad if you have an electric inflator of some kind. I shoved an electric air duster into the valve and had this thing 95% inflated in seconds. With a pump meant for inflating mattresses it would be even easier. You can top off and fine tune with lung power, or use the included pump sack. I wouldn't want to inflate this thing all the way with the pump sack, I bet that would take a while. A few adapters are included to help fit your 3rd party pump.Tear down is not too bad. If you have a pump that can do it, use that. If not, you can still do it by hand. Switch the air valve to the deflate direction, fold it in half and clip the corners to each other with the attaches buckles (nice touch) and start rolling and kneeling on it. You might have to unroll and make another pass, but the one-way air valve keeps you from losing progress. It's really not bad at all, and it's easy to strap it down and fit it back in the pump sack, even for the big queen. If you want to go camping but can't get comfortable on a normal sleeping pad or even an air mattress, this could upgrade your whole experience. Also, honestly, if you need an air mattress for any reason and want to be actually comfortable, this is a great option. Next time we have guests and need another bed, inflating this will be my first choice.

Like: it is what is says and a nice large pad. It is nice and firm and not slippery. At first I was dismayed there was no pump, because it states self inflating. It does expand by itself but still need additional air, which can be done using the carry bag. Read the instructions and it does work with maybe two rounds.Neutral: I docked a star because it did not describe using the bag as inflation and self inflating is misleading.Dislike: noneSolid nice pad for sleeping and no need for pump. Deflation is a little time consuming because of the memory foam, but if you do have a pump usually you can also use them to deflate. If not give yourself an extra 10 minutes to wrestle the mattress into the carry bag.

5 years ago, in 2020, I purchased a seemingly very similar foam mattress from another brand here on Amazon. That older mattress was size "Full" and inflates to 4" thick. It has generally been a good investment. However, it is pretty bulky and heavy. For reference, it weighs 14.3 lbs. When it's fully deflated and packed up, it has a diameter of about 18".As our family has grown, it's become more important to me that our camping gear is compact and lightweight, so I was really interested in this Acacia mattress, which claims to shrink by 60% when deflated. I recently set it up and tested it out head-to-head against my old mattress. In one sense, this comparison is not fair because my old mattress was a Full, and this new Acacia mattress is a Queen. However, that only makes it more impressive that the Acacia still comes out ahead!Whereas my old full size mattress weighed 14.3 lbs, my new queen size mattress from Acacia weighs just 10.3 lbs! (Note that is slightly more than the stated weight of 9.8 lbs in the product listing, which I assume is because I'm measuring the entire package in its carry bag, not just the mattress itself.) Still, it's impressive to have a larger mattress that weighs 4 lbs less!My old full size mattress rolled up to 25" long and about 18" in diameter. This new Acacia queen mattress rolls up to 29" long and only 12" in diameter! Again, that's a shocking improvement, especially considering the mattress is actually larger when inflated! It takes up far less space on my shelf at home and in the trunk when we pack for a camping trip. That said, the weight and space savings would be meaningless if the mattress were not comfortable. Fortunately, when I tested the two mattresses side-by-side, I actually thought the Acacia was significantly more comfortable! Whereas the old mattress has a uniform stiffness to it, the Acacia mattress feels more like a traditional bed, with more give and responsiveness to pressure points.Admittedly, this Acacia mattress is more expensive than many other inflatable foam mattresses on Amazon. However, my testing shows that the weight savings and space savings are significant, and the Acacia is more comfortable too. I think it's worth a slightly higher investment.

This is a large, very comfortable sleeping pad. It weighs 10 lbs, so it would not be suitable for backpacking (as suggested in the description), nor is it self-inflating. When you open the valve, you can set it to โinflateโ or โdeflateโ. Setting it to inflate will do nothing, unless you turn the valve half-open (see 5th picture) in which case some air will go in. If you want to inflate the pad, as shown in the instructions and video, you either need a pump or you can use the carry bag as a pump sack. That works pretty well. You connect the bag to the pad and just open it up to fill it with air, and then close the top and push in the trapped air. With a little practice, you can fill the bag pretty well and it will only take 3-4 fills (probably more until you figure out how to best fill the sack). In sum, as long as you arenโt planning on carrying this very far, it is a large comfortable sleeping pad useful for car camping, or for hosting someone on your floor.Itโs a nice pad, and Iโm only giving it four stars because it is not self-inflating, and it is not suitable for backpacking, as written in the product description.
