This was the best solution to remove a circulating fan in a small commercial convection oven. Very limited space to work and this tool was the answer. Sturdy and undoubtedly will get more use.

Parfait pour extraire un roulement de 26x10x8 (en étant en serrage maxi) sur un arbre de tambour de sèche-linge. En clair, la prise sera limite pour un diamètre extérieur de roulement inférieur à 26mm.

I used this puller to remove a small bearing from an alternator rotor. The tool is decently well built, and has no sharp edges or machine marks, making it friendly in the hands. I did need to grease the threads to ensure smooth movement. The jaws were a little large for the small bearing I was pulling, but I was able to wrestle the tool onto the bearing and it pulled the bearing off with no trouble. I ended up using my electric impact to torque the center bolt, as it is basically impossible to turn that center bolt by hand, since the tool is so small. If you don't have an impact or air impact, using this tool may be challenging. It is a bit difficult to get the tool seated onto the item to be pulled, but you should be able to get it seated and ready in a minute or two.

I used this to remove a tapered roller bearing cone that was pressed onto a 4 wheel drive backhoe kingpin. It was impossible to get under the inner bearing race with any type of puller. I removed the outer part of the bearing (cage and rollers). I did this by cutting the cage in 4 places and opening it up. With the cage and rollers gone, I used a grinder and ground two slots in the thickest part of the bearing race. These slots were cut to a size that allowed the legs of the bearing puller to get a grip. I also flattened out a hose clamp and used it around the puller jaws to exert pressure to hold the jaws into the bearing. I'm not sure how necessary the hose clamp was but you can judge for yourself. I needed to put an enormous amount of torque on the puller screw pulling pretty hard on a 1 foot long wrench handle. I also needed to heat the race red hot with an acetylene torch. With the amount of pressure I had to exert on the tool, it would have been broken or been damaged if it was not pretty good quality. I'm happy with this purchase.

I love this thing! I had a very stubborn camber bushing on my 1990 Bronco that was rusted and couldn’t come loose. I even bought the very expensive sleeve puller designed for that specific applications, but the ears on the bushing snapped off so I was out of luck. I almost gave up and took apart my tie rod so I could remove my ball joint, BUT! I was determined to not go that route, because it’s a real pain. That is where this thing came in handy. With no ears to grab a hold of, I dremeled out a slit on each side for the set of jaws to get a hold of and tightened everything up. I even used two clamps to make sure these things didn’t move.Slowly but surely I was able to pull it out. A $36 tool did what a $250 tool couldn’t.Although my application is not the intended target, it worked perfectly and couldn’t be happier.
