I purchased these because they claim they will work on a wide range of pipe diameters -- and they do. Even 1" black pipe. They hand easily and securely before tightened which is really important when you're hanging a heavy mover on top of a ladder.

I paid up for these because I wanted the larger molded plastic handles. These are like all the others for sale on Amazon. Why did I pay more for these? I think I'll return them and reorder a less expensive set. The quality seems fine but I don't like not getting what I expected to receive.

I used these to suspend 10 battery powered OPPSK par lights from a bar above the stage. I wasn't sure if these would be strong enough to suport the lights since the battery powered lights are heavier than AC powered lights. I was surprised that these held the lights well. I didn' thave trouble with them slipping or moving even when I had the lights at a 30-40 degree angle from the pole. I would buy these again.

I bought a bunch of these to hang lights and dimmers for an outdoor theatre performance. There are several features I really like about these. They have a kind of “hook” to them that allows the fixture to hang from the bar even without the screw. Everything can be hand tightened. And they are strong. I had to mount a large elliptical fixture ABOVE the bar and this clamp held it perfectly in place for the entire run. No complaints.
