Got a older really expensive ptz dome camera and after finally figuring out this was how to power it I looked at alternatives. This was the most affordable way that I could find. I wasn't even sure it worked and so wasn't going to invest much money. Anyway, it worked perfectly and the real test is that I plugged it in and forgot about it. No problems.

I measured the current of that adapter 48VDC 1/2 A. It is limited (200mA) of 500mA for 48.3V staying. If more than 200mA current, it'll be 45v to 46v drop. Not recommended.

I've purchased this product many times before so we know it's a good quality Passive injector. We'll continue to use them. I would recommend if you want this type Product.

The unit appears to work as expected. We tried it out on a Reolink RLC-842A and everything works normally.BUT, anyone who connects as shown in unedited figure will probably blow up their router or LAN switch etc., because the port labelled "Data & Power Out" carries 48 volts DC on pins 4 &5 relative to the return on pins 7 & 8. Be sure the LAN cable goes to the correct port !!!

Yeah so where to begin. Depending upon which diagram you follow it’s 50/50 whether you will blow up your router or switch, because they show it both right and wrong. Follow one diagram and you pump power in the wrong direction. How much power, you might wonder? Well that’s very unclear as well bThey say it is 48 volts and 15.4 watts in this ad here.On the thing itself it says only 48 watts, and. I other info. No way this is 48 watts. In the Q&A here the seller claims it’ll put out 12volts, 24 volts, or 48volts and will auto-sense which is needed. this is TOTAL NONSENSE! It cannot do any such thing.Who knows what it really puts out, probably 48V but I cannot trust my expensive gizmos to anyone who gets this much crap wrong. The device itself has errors on it, as does the ad, the specs, everything that could be wrong is wrong somewhere. I want a refund.
