The quality of this product is absolutely horrible! The box looks like it was put together by kindergarteners with Elmers glue sticks. It was literally disconnected on the corners when I got it and the supports for the subpar “knives” weren’t even connected. Put a little more money in and get quality products elsewhere

I like the length and the feel of the handles. Unfortunately the business ends are very poorly ground. I did sharpen them but the angles didn’t seem quite right. I had a friend try them who is far more experienced than me and he confirmed my own thoughts. This is a pity as the tools are very well presented and feel good to handle.

You get what you pay for, and I did not pay much for these gouges. Cheap handles. Shafts are misaligned with handles. I cannot comment on metal because I will return items without sharpening or using them

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by these gouges. I need a smaller gouge occasionally so I thought I’d risk getting this set. They don’t hold an edge quite as long as some of my name brand gouges but sharpen easily and cut quite well when sharp. Overall a good set for the price. Be a 5 star if they held an edge just a little longer but worth the money.

I would say price reflect quality; one gouge arrived bent out of the box all arrived with such a rough initial grind it took a lot of material to get them tuned up.

Very soft steel...advertised as HSS, but clearly not up to normal HSS. Will not last long, nor hold sharp edge. Not recommended for any harder wood species.
