I bought this to grind/carve a shoebox sized stone as a water bowl for my pet. I didn’t have very high hopes.To my surprise, I worked VERY well.

There is play between the hole in the grinder wheel and a 5/8-11 standard US size threaded shaft. If you use the adapter set that comes with your grinder, this wheel will chew up the threaded shaft on your grinder and ruin the threads making your grinder useless to thread any other wheel on there in the future.Buyer BEWARE!Otherwise an OK 3" wheel.For a smooth grit, 3" cup wheel, I prefer the the wheels that have a threaded 5/8-11 means of attachment, or else wheels that can make use of the 7/8" standard adapter that comes with every grinder in the US. I haven't found either on Amazon.

I liked the small size but full grinding capability as I needed to get to a window ledge in a recessed work area. It cut well in old concrete in leveling an uneven patch. I had to combine it with a standard angle grinder locking flange and arbor to make a tool as my access to the work area was blocked on one side. This 3 inch grinding cup was a time and effort saver in that situation and I can use it where I want to better confine grinding to a particular part of a project.

Hole was not the same size for mounting.. used a adjustable drill bit and they work fine
