The pin was to short and the spring was to long. The problem was that the pin would not reach the camshaft but if the pin were to come out further to reach the cam it would be to short to stay in the hole in the head and fall to the bottom of the engine.

The spring is way too long. Does not fit a 400ex. You will drop the spring and pin in your bottom end trying to use this.
