Please note that all measurements for fence latches for gate frames are the OUTSIDE DIAMETERS.
If using piping not intended for use with chain link fence parts, the measurements provided for that piping may be interior measurements and will not fit properly.

I used a Higher andgarden latch on my 4' high gate but still used a Ball bungie cord to stabilize the play in this latch so the raccoons don't squeeze into my garden

I bought the wrong size, but nothing a hammer couldn't fix to open it up lol - I did not measure and got these to use on our tube farm gates to hold in our goats, LGD (Livestock guardian dog), chickens, ducks, and keep everyone where they should be. 5 stars for quality, price, design. I can easily fit a carabiner through the bottom to lock the goats and dogs in from opening the gates on their own.

Nice product. Easy to install on a wood fence post. Smooth grey finish. Deep enough throw to hold the gate without it being able to wiggle loose should the wind move your gate back and forth.
