I use these springs for my backyard gate closure. I setup the spring so that I can easily unhook for the gate to stay open when lawn mowing. I needed only one spring so the other one is a spare.

Worked great on my 1970's, all wood attic ladder.Had tried to buy others at Menards and Lowes, but they were too week. Not enough tension. These worked great!

We recently remodeled our home and put in an attic ladder. The old acces was too small and acces was not easy. We got these springs because we had an attic ladder but no springs.These were the perfect replacement for our missing springs. They feel to be made of quality material and were very easy to install. These are keeping my ladder nice and tight to the ceiling when closed. These are offered at a great price.

Pretty straightforward to replace. Will need a helper to open and close door to remove and replace. The spring is not as strong as the previous spring Previous one is very old with a steel and wood assembly. You can see the metal is thinner. Should work well with lighter door. I replaced one spring the was stretched out and it was no worse. Replacing both springs did not keep door up. However this spring is not truly made for my door either.

This attic ladder springs kit is a nice find. The components of the kit look and feel like they are solidly constructed. It is easy to install with the help of my brother in-law. We were able to install the attic ladder springs in a couple of hours. The attic ladder works well and is easy to use with these new springs. My wife is happy that we were able to get the attic ladder fixed.

Recently purchased a old home sold that we purchased "as is" so naturally I have projects to attend to and one of them was putting new springs on the pull down attic access in the garage. The existing springs were simply too weak to hold the ladder tight against the ceiling however since installing these new ones, that issue has been eliminated. Ya gotta love the simple fixes in life.
