I used it to cut 3/4 inch pyrex glass tubing, which I had never done before.

Good cutter with some design issues, though it's likely similar to other glass tube cutters in the same category. There will be some limitations similar with other glass tube cutters if you are cutting at/near a tail end end of it where there isn't enough remaining tube space to be held it on both edged ends of the cutter itself on either side of the blade. Some workarounds like extended tube caps might be necessary to use in such cases.Additional Tip due to inherant design limitations: Because the clamper at either side of glass tube cutter's blade were made not as fully wide surface but as narrowed wall edges at the hollow, it can definitely cause pressure dents on the glass tube surface while being held to score. Be sure to apply masking/rubber tape or something on the sides of the glass tube surface that aren't meant to be touched to avoid unwanted denting. (also, likely have to make sure not to press down too hard.)Also, especially if your tape covers everything except where the score line is intended to go, it would be best to visually mark a line on the masking/rubber tape (with an ink marker) to mark where you want the score to begin and end to avoid over-rotating and running over the same score since it might be hard to visually see the score once the tape cover is applied. I made a mistake of forgetting to do that and ran over the score a little bit extra after one full rotation.I was able to try it on thick glass that I realised only later went beyond the limit of 3mm to about 35mm. It eventually was able to cut off (albeit not that cleanly, but could be due to some other mistakes such as mentioned above) and also despite going over the stated limit in the spec. The blade appears to be good and does what it intends to do in running good scores even on thick glass considering it even managed beyond the spec limit.Lack of manual/instruction: Overall the device this was pretty self-explanatory but perhaps some leaflet to indicate best usage practices could be useful as some things may not be obvious for newbies.Overall managed several scores well and still not encountering any wearing issues despite some small mistakes here ad there. Appears to be a pretty durable blade as well.

If your piece of glass is true, then this tool can score the cut very straight. I pressed where the indents for your fingers are moderately hard, enough that I could hold the glass and cutter in two fingers and not drop it. I then used a torch to heat the score and some cold running tap water made it snap off clean and perfect.

No problem cutting through a pretty thick glass tube.
