I'm built like a dude. Wide chest (45in) and shoulders, small waist (32in). I have over a dozen other tanks from other stores that I wear strictly to the gym. They're mostly size small, some medium. The goal is to be able to somewhat comfortably squeeze my chest into something that doesn't fit so loose around my waist that it looks like I'm wearing a teddy. I purchased this in a medium and while whoever made the design did terrifically, Amazon missed the mark a bit with the shirt they chose to print it on. Initially it was completely awful. After washing and drying it's very snug around my chest, a bit too loose around my waist, and hangs down to about the mid point on my cheeks causing the bottom to bunch up. I'm 6'1" and have a fairly long torso. Granted, I'm built more athletically than most guys so it could conceivably fit other people better.
