Caught three fish in about an hour from shore including one 3lb+ peacock bass which broke the back hook. The lure is incredible and does a good job in Florida but swap out the hooks if you are targeting bass over 3lbs as these are too light weight.

I am partial to the original rattletraps by Bill Lewis, however, these rattletraps are comparable to catch-ability for bass in my experience here in Florida.I think that most may fish an original rattletrap, so these quality baits are the same approach but have slightly different color, water displacement, and vibration so they are arguably better on pressured lakes. The bait's color scheme holds up well after many casts banging the water surface and the hooks and split ring are quality e.g., sticky sharp.I typically fish these lures offshore in four to ten feet of water with or without bottom weeds on 15-17 lb line. I usually rip them or sometimes a constant steady retrieve. Great search bait and even better to cast to active bass you have sighted in on. Bass color scheme is my favorite for use in really any water clarity; clear to tannic.
