Had this product for 8 months and the padding inside the chest fell apart and crumbled. Prob used / washed product 15 times. Terrible quality.

This chest protector heart guard shirt is cut well for a comfortable fit in all areas, including the neck and arms. The chest padding looks like bubbles -- it is flexible and easy to move. The shirt is an appropriate length for tucking into pants, and it stays put throughout practices and games.My son has been wearing it on cold days, and says it feels like it is somewhat insulating. We don't expect warm weather anytime in the near future, so it will likely be a while before we can test it on a hot day. However, he does, even in this chilly weather, get pretty hot and sweaty while we plays, and he's had no complaints about the shirt.

This is one of those products that you wear and you pray that you will never have the misfortune of finding out whether the padding actually works or not. I ordered this chest protector shirt to replace a very similar one (McDavid brand HEX sternum shirt) that my son had used for several years for baseball and flag football but recently outgrew. I don’t believe he’s ever taken a direct hit to the heart, so we don’t know for sure how well these type of shirts work, but that’s the way I like it. When my husband was a teenager, he played in a hockey game where a kid on the other team was hit in the chest by a puck and died; the chances of a fatal hit to the chest are remote, but it does happen. This protective shirt is lightweight, moisture-wicking and sleeveless, my picky son has no problem wearing it, and it gives us a little peace of mind. This shirt has washed well so far; I hang it on the laundry drying rack to dry. It dries pretty quickly because of the material.

This chest protector fits snug and true to size. The front has a bit of a stretch to it, the back is mesh with no real give and the chest protector is lightweight. It should keep my son cool on game days while also offering a bit of protection. My son is 7 and wears size smalls and this fits perfect without impacting mobility.
