I have always used the u-bolt style wire rope connectors in the past, and was never confident that I had a secure connection. This style connector is much more secure, and also just looks better. There is a bit of a learning curve to use (wire rope has a mind of its own), and a metric socket is needed to tighten them. I installed on a length of cable and tested to the extreme. The wire rope did pull out of the connector before the cable broke, but that was at an extreme tension (I have no way of measuring actual tension). In the future, I think I’ll order the two-bolt style of these connectors, They are only a little longer, and should be nearly twice as strong.

I got the M2 double bolt and am extremely happy with it.It seems like I am always needing something like this for a variety of things, now I have some.The main thing I did with these was to make a continuous loop, so one end of the wire went into this clamp from left to right, and the other end went into it right to left.My mothers large wall clock pooped out on her, and I bought her another one. She complained about the last one being difficult for her to find the nail to hang it up after changing batteries or Daylight Savings. So I took this continuous loop and put 2 screws in the back of the clock close to the edges to hold the bottom of the wire just above the center of the clock. That left a nice long loop of wire for her to find the nail with.She loves the clock and especially the ease of finding the nail.Love these, they hold extremely good and you can loosen the nuts and change the length of your loop or change the configuration at any time.

These work nicely on a thicker wire. I used them to make end loops on wire for hanging lights. They bolted down very tight. They are sturdy and seem to be made from a solid metal material. They have held the wire loops securely. I put a good amount of tension on the wire and had no issue with the clamps holding.

I used these to make loops in the cable to hook up patio cafe lights. While it is a little tricky to fit the wire into the shape, once it is in, the cable does not budge. I recommend having a pair of small-nosed pliers handy for tightening the screws.

I use these with electric fence poly wire. They're great for making splices if you double-loop your wire around them, or for making gate loops for hooks. It's best to double-loop them for maximum strength, otherwise use a double bolt version. They're also useful for tensioning wire if you don't have tensioners installed. Just cut the wire, loop it around the bolt, and pull it back to the desired tension and tighten. They're nice and small, and the stainless steel construction should keep them from corroding.

This style of clip didnt end up working for what i had in mind as my wire was just a little larger and didnt fit in how i thought it might. I cannot fault the manufacturer as this was outside of the size range specified but the style of the clips is a little awkward and there are several different options available that suited my needs better aside from the sizing issue.
