I was having bad luck with the "more" expensive garage lights of this style. Took and chance and ordered this particular light. Well, I hear to tell ya!... Very good quality and really...really.. bright. Totally pleased. Put this light in my Amazon list, because I certainly will order more of these sun spots....Big Bang for your Buck here guys....

Easy to install and bright. You can even, somewhat, focus the light by angling the bulbs. Good buy!

I previously had a bell and howell light of similar design in my basement where this light now resides. It worked well for a couple of years until one day it just didn't. I thought it did a pretty good job though. I read the other reviews for this light and frankly, no matter which light I researched it seemed that some people felt they were great and others suggested not buying them.Well this one seemed the most promising out of a collection of bad choices. I have had it for a couple months now and I am very pleased. It is MUCH brighter than my previous B&H light and has less glare. I am using this to light a fairly large area and it is over my 3D printers. The old light made it tough to see some of the details on the prints but this one just works. I'll see how long this one lasts but so far I would recommend.

I have an identical set of these lights in my shop already, and they're rated as "Daylight".One burnt out, so I bought these as a replacement, as the originals were no longer available and these offered the same specifications. However, they give off yellow light, not daylight.So I gave them to my neighbour for his garage.Replaced with proper daylight versions.Not recommended for "Daylight" requirements.

I bought these bulbs for use in my garage. I originally considered installing LED tubes, but when I happened across this product, I thought I would give it a try. The light is extremely bright and the four "wings" help direct the light. 5 stars for the light output. The light as shipped has two parts, the light itself and a 4" socket extender which is removable. After installation, I needed to take the light down for a minute and when I unscrewed the light, the socket extender fell apart. I had to carefully extract the base of the socket extender from my ceramic ceiling fixture. I'm pretty comfortable working with electricity, so this wasn't difficult for me, but for some, this could have been stressful as you have to unscrew a bare metal base from an electrical fixture.I looked at the extender and the problem is clear, they have a metal base which is crimped onto a plastic extension. If you put much force on the extension when screwing or unscrewing the bulb in, the base will come loose. Additionally, when the base came loose, one of the two internal wires in the extension also came loose. The good news is I don't need the extension in my garage, so the light was immediately back in service. I actually prefer the bulb without the extension for use in the garage. The bad news is the bulb itself uses the same construction (metal base crimped onto plastic), so it is likely vulnerable to the same problem. I suggest being very gentle when screwing the light in or out.Despite the flaws, I plan to order additional lights as the output and value proposition work for me. The only other consideration for me is the lifespan of the bulb. I'll update this review if I have any issues with the light failing during use.Update: It's been a year and a half, and two of the original five lights that I purchased have failed. While they worked, they were great. I disassembled the failed lights and the problem appears to be the internal LED driver inside the base of the fixture. There is a 33uF capacitor in the driver circuit which is swollen and seems to have failed. The LEDs are all actually still good, but without a working driver board, they don't turn on. I ordered replacements of the same form factor lights from a different vendor in the hope their design will be more robust.

it's basically a light bulb, you just screw it in and voila! super bright, excellent coverage, and less heat than a T5 equivalent, as well as lower KW usage. i had (4) high bay high output T5 fixtures each with (6) T5 bulbs in my garage/shop. these (9) fixtures are much more suited to the 22x28 x9 ft tall space. i probably could have used 6, but i am getting older and need illuminance. one of the fixtures was not working, they immediately sent a replacement. great product, great service.

It’s incredibly bright. The pics look fake, but it is so bright it really does create that fake look in a picture. I’ve had it for about two weeks and it continues to shine brightly. Originally I had it in a lamp I had made from an old bass drum. The light had to shine through a white coated Mylar head. This light bulb was located in a music room. It’s so bright though, even shining through a coated Mylar sheet, I finally moved it to the garage, where it is more at home. It replaced two failing fluorescent lights. Ballasts were going bad.I’ll monitor this light. I just don’t have a ton of confidence in the hundreds of Chinese products. It seems their reputation isn’t a priority and quality is something that happens when production has decided it’s going to happen... so you get the occasional batch of junk. So far, incredible amount of light. Awesome for garages.

Very bright and easy to install. Light are evenly spread out with 4 leaves and centre. Just don’t look at it for long. Item is basically all plastic (pvc?) except electrical contact. Leaves stayed up in any angle (45deg and 30deg) I chose. Other than it is using 60w , I am happy. Recommended.

Okay, I know I'm getting older and find myself craving more light in my house in almost all areas, but regardless of that, I have ALWAYS wanted more, brighter lighting in my garage. Big wattage incandescent bulbs were great, but not efficient and are now illegal to manufacture. Flourescent tubes are also a thing of the past, took forever to warm up and now no longer being made. High lumen CFLs came, and took many minutes to warm up, even in the summer - forget about the winter. So we are left with LED bulbs for my regular incandescent fixtures and even the 100 watt equivalents made wholly insuffucient light.When I saw a new class of LED fixtures for garage (and other) ceilings that were rated at 6000 lumens, I decided to give one of these a try. I really wasn't expecting much because it seems like almost everything today on Amazon and other places is highly rated by professional paid reviewers that have never even used the product. I ordered this very well priced Sinoteck unit and it arrived in a couple of days. I removed the 100 watt equivalent LED bulb from one of the ceiling fixtures in my garage and screwed this unit in. OH MY GOODNESS, the light is AMAZING. Very bright, very white light. I'm asking Santa for three more for Christmas. I'll finally be able to do work in my garage at night. Well done Sinoteck, well done!
