Excellent heater core bypass for a terrible problem. My 2005 (2nd Gen) Xterra with nearly 190,000 miles on it now gives off that sweet (dreadful) smell of radiator fluid baking itself on/around the heater core in front of the passenger front seat. Since it's a nearly 8 hour "book time" to remove the entire dash including the steering column, this bypass will have to suffice until deciding to pay +/- $1,000 labor or to do it on my own.The bypass is compact and comes with a 3/4 to 3/4, a 5/8 to 5/8 and (2) 5/8 to 3/4 fittings. The flexible bypass tube is a 5/8" inside diameter. Depending on how tight your space is to do the bypass on the inlet and outlet you can actually trim the tube to be a tad shorter. Install is super easy and can be done in about 15 minutes. Overall quality of the tube, fittings, and hose clamps appear to be excellent. And living in Arizona, I can do without a heater for tke week or so where it's actually colder and near freezing. Get yourself one to hold you over until a permanent fix can be completed.

Heater Hose By-Pass kitComes with four metal pipes, one curved 3/4" hose and two spring hose clamps.Pipe end sizes are:3/4" x 3/4" (QTY 1)3/4" x 5/8" (QTY 2)5/8" x 5/8" (QTY 1)The hose can used to connect two parallel hoses together like the two hoses going to your heater box.It is a nice sturdy hose.I like the metal coolant pipes since they usually outlast plastic pipes especially if the coolant gets too hot.I needed this kit to connect the coolant hoses going to my stock VW automatic transmission cooler that I am removing to replace with an aftermarket external trans cooler. I can now connect the hoses together with one of the pipes in this kit.FIVE STARS!
