It was hard to find one that gave 40 amps per each output. Works to keep lights on in my display van. And my computers and Lazer printer. And my lift gate.Liked size.

Not totally sold on this charger. Lots of work and cost rewiring my boat to make this work. We will see, just installed it and working fine. This is only a 40 amp. My last one was 100 amp and hook up different, but stopped working. We will see. Make sure you follow instructions, including adding fuses to every positive terminal on every battery.

We now have had the second one of these chargers die for our boat. Each one lasts less than 1 year and the boat is just used in the summer! This most recent charger had hardly been used as we didn't have the boat hooked up to power many times for fear it would shorten the lifespan of this poor quality charger. Yup. It died as well. So disappointed. I saw its advertised a 2 year warranty and folks don't hear back from the company. Sad sad sad.

This was a great add on to our solar panel system. Great for those weeks when there's a bit too many clouds and I needed to fire up the generator. It tied in to the system very easily and has worked well with our AGM batteries for over a year now.

I installed a couple of weeks ago. So far, seems to work pretty well.Reasons to purchase this one (things I like):* Price really reasonable* 2-stage chargingI am only running a single battery bank from the charger. The only issues I saw:* The battery connectors feel a bit cheap since they wiggle a bit. (may be a feature?)* Getting the rubber safety cap on is a bit of a chore due to a lack of distance between the terminal and the case.* The butt connectors that come with it are cheap automotive type instead of marine grade (do not use)* Not a lot of room in the AC compartment after the strain relief so I cut those wires a bit shorter than how they came to make room.So you know how I am using the charger. We are full time cruisers for the last 7 years, so we use our batteries full time. The charger is there to do a bulk charge or help when the solar does not quite do the job. Needed to replace our old one that died.

Installation was simple and the charger is keeping my golf cart batteries fully charged without over charging them.

Replaced a charger in a brand new trailer that was set up wrong for battery charging from portable generators. This one cranks out 30+ amps at 13.9-14.1 volts for the first 2 hrs and really recharges travel trailer batteries fast using a portable generator. Very easy to swap out. Works perfect. Fast shipping.

Excellent unit. I replaced the previous one that was damaged by an electrical incident with the supply. I got the accompanying remote panel and the heat sensor. I also purchased a Square Trade extended warranty on both units. The policy on the first unit paid for the second. I told them the conversation I had with the tech at Xantrex. I told him the electrical problem and problems with the charger and he said that it would be replaced not repaired. Square Trade said we'll will send a check, send us documents and old unit. I ordered immediately and the check came fast as Well! I highly recommend them.

This is the best charger I have ever owned. It charges my Lifetime AGM batteries very quickly, and provides exactly the 3 stage charge voltages recommended by the manufacturer. In fact, it was recommended to me by the manufacturer. This charger is too expensive for inexpensive flooded lead-acid batteries, and too much charger for small batteries with less than 80 Amp/hour capacity (could cause outgassing with a potential explosion or battery damage). Definitely make sure your battery can take the 40 amp charge capacity before buying.

My charger shipped quite fast, and the packaging was very well made(both store packaging and Xantrex packaging), With all the correct tools it took about 5 or 6 hours to be installed (me and my old man)(with the remote panel) on his 39ft boat, it's working very well for about two weeks, we live in a very damp area and the charger was installed into the engine compartment. We have 3 battery banks (two 175Ah in parallel and one 150Ah battery for each engine, all sealed). It runs silently and the fan speed vary depending on the temperature, but you don't want to install it on the same place that you sleep. It also gets hot, but probably wouldn't burn you if you touch it after 5h of operation. It needs to be installed fairly close to the batteries. And it can't be installed in the same compartment of the batteries due to corrosion issues, but apparently only if you have flooded batteries. The remote panel is quite expensive.
