There were no instructions, had to watch a YouTube ti see how the igniter clipped on. Bought the grill used and there was no igniter it.

This item was quite easy to install. I was having a lot of trouble igniting the flame on my Weber grill. Now, I just touch the button and it instantly ignites. It remains to be seen how long it will work, but it is so inexpensive that, if it starts to go bad in the future, I will just order another one. Note that it came with replacement wires, but I didn't need to use them as the existing wires are easy to disconnect and reconnect to the replacement igniter. My recommendation is, if you are having trouble starting the fire in your Weber side control grill, order this item immediately. You will not be sorry!

The first igniter that I received didn’t spark. The replacement igniter fits well, was easy to install and work’s okay. The button seems to be lower quality than the original and gets stuck down occasionally. The appearance is similar to the Weber part.

After seven years my original Weber igniter croaked and I spent last summer poking a manual lighter through the hole in the front panel to light the grill. So replacing the push-button igniter been on my list of to-dos. I spotted this replacement unit from X Home on Amazon with a 10% off coupon and the reviews were good. It was easy to install (no instructions were included) and works great, although I put the AAA battery in upside down the first time (note - the positive terminal goes down into the case). Hopefully I'll get another seven years out of this new one. Very pleased and I'd buy it again.

I received two of these that didn't work . There was a break in wire before ignitor that caused it to spark outside of grill . Product looks nice and is easy to install .

Purchased this igniter for my Weber Genesis Special Edition NG BBQ as the original igniter stopped working after 13 years. The gas knobs and igniter are located on the side rather than the front. This part is only compatible with this type of BBQ. The same part from Weber cost $50. Installation was easy and took 5 minutes. There is a video on YouTube which shows step by step how to remove and replace the igniter. Works like a charm!

No instructions, but easy enough to figure out how to get the old one out by watching a YouTube video.This new one has a ring to screw on and hold it in place rather than the clips the original one had. The ring is better because the clips can break as one of mine did. I only needed the button part but it worked fine when I hooked it up to the wires from the existing ignition piece.
