About this item

  • Wuhan thin crashes ultra responsive light airy
  • Great model for any venue
  • Melodic tone and volume control

Wuhan cymbals are hand cast, hand hammered and hand lathed cymbals. Wuhan cymbals are made the same way they've been made for thousands of year. This process produces cymbals of excellent sound quality and durability. Wuhan's are produced in a similar manor to Turkish cymbals but for fraction of the price. Wuhan cymbals are by far the best value in hand cast cymbals available.

I use this with their 16" thin crash to get the tone interval I desire. They have a great crash sound and then decay and get out of the way. However this is also a good left-side ride. Sometimes there are some relatively minor quality issues with these Wuhans but usually acceptable given the quality B20 bronze sounds you get for an exceptional price. IMHO these would compare to some VERY expensive name brand cymbals in a blind test. Watch for price drops for best price.

I’m not sure I can agree with other reviews. It ‘gongs’ too much for my liking. I was hoping for it to be my go to power crash.

I replaced my broken meinl byzance with this cymbal. Was kinda sceptical about buying this cymbals because some of the reviews said they have a gong sound to them. My 19in thin crash just arrived and right out the box I could already tell this was a very well made cymbal. Looks flawless for being hand made. Didn't really hear that gong sound people where referring to. It's more of a nice warm sizzle with dark overtones, very impressive. If you are looking for a cymbal on a budget but don't like the sound of brass/b8 this cymbal is well worth it!

Been playing this crash cymbal for the past month...let me tell y'all something..I needed to get some cheap cymbals for the church drums just to have something there for whenever I'm not there. I took a chance on Wuhan and WOW for the price it cannot get better than this. This crash has a nice trashy/washy sound, while it's volume is limited it's still loud. Again for the price, this cymbal is not supposed to sound this good.If you're looking for entry level cymbals...screw ZBT's, B8's, and other crap cymbals like those because Wuhan is the way to go for cheap GOOD cymbals.

Let me start by saying that, no, I'm not a professional, and no, I'm not the most experienced drummer (and I also apologize for the lengthy review in advance)... But do I care deeply about sound quality, and from a listener's point of view as well as a player's point of view, I feel that Wuhan gets a a bad rap when it comes to crashes...If it helps, I will also note that I play anything but country. Most of the time it's Rock, Metal, Prog, Jazz/Fusion etc. So I cover a lot of ground... And these are for rehearsing as well as giging: I use these just about every single day.Sound - This 19" crash in particular (also bought an 18" thin crash) is definitely a loud cymbal. This thing is not messing around lol. Immediately after getting it out of the package, it was a noticeably less pristine and shimmery/rounded out sound than the big boys of the cymbal companies, but that doesn't mean it is any less good sounding. I personally love the way this crash sounds. It's dark, more on the trashy side, has a huge dynamic range, and best of all - it has character. Definitely unique and I love it.Quality/Durability - I've only had this thing for about a month, so as far as durability is concerned, I'll have to see where that stands in another four or five months at least. I try my best to be concious of stick technique, so I'm hoping I'll have these around for a while. The quality in general is really great. B20 bronze alloy and I'd say this is more in the medium-thin spectrum as far as weight. The hammering looks super cool... No weird hammer marks or dings (have had very small raw cymbal spots/dings on previous Wuhan chinas) but I'm not a fan of the brilliant finish (that's just me being picky). All in all, I think this crash is really great quality as far as I can tell.Pricepoint - Being broke at the moment is really the biggest reason I grabbed up some Wuhan crashes in all honesty. BUT I knew that the price I was paying for these was better than paying the same or more for some B8/10/12 alloy cymbals. For as cheap as this crash was (I paid about $100 for this one in total) I think I really got more than I bargained for. This is a GREAT value for money.Overall, I say if you're looking into getting this crash, go for it. If you're a new player and want something nice to play on, or even if you've been playing 20 years and just want something new to try, I say pick one up. I blindly ordered these wuhan crashes off of Amazon and they are great, I didn't need to "go digging in a pile to find a good one" or any of that nonsense I see everywhere, I just got them and I'm a happy camper. The other guys in my bands really dig them too, so nobody is disappointed here. I also have a review of the 18" Thin Crash on here if you're looking into them.

I primarily use dream cymbals. I got this and the 18 crash for practice cymbals. The 19 sounds awesome, it's dark and has a hint of trash to it.The 18 thin crash sounds awful. I wish they made a 20in crash
