First, the positive: the motor seems to delivery a decent amount of power. The spec’s look good… twin string, brushless motor, lightweight. Unfortunately, the negatives far outweigh the positives. The product is useless since the string immediately breaks to a very short length of two inches or less when using it in a vertical “edger” mode. Thinking it just might be old/bad string, I swapped out the included spool for another spool and the same thing happened. Doing this made me realize how bad the dual-spool design is… loading a new spool properly is an exercise in frustration since you need to feed the lines through the two holes without crossing them while they try to unravel themselves… it’s something that may not seem like an issue when drafting the design, but is immediately found to be an issue in actual use. Making matters worse, the push button string advance simply does not work. I couldn’t get past 14 inches of edging without having to stop, flip the trimmer over and manually pull out some new line, which immediately broke again. I’ve never had these issue with previous trimmers and since this was brand new, I didn’t want to deal with any extended troubleshooting for something so basic to its intended function, so I returned it.

The motor is plenty powerful and the dual string make quick work of weeds. I have had no issues with the line feed and the spool seems to last a while. I use it for weeds and edging and it does well. It is easy to switch around between weeding and edging as well as overall length to fit your height. The 4Ah battery lasts through a number of uses without needing a charge. Store the battery indoors during the offseason and when not in use and it will last far longer than if stored in the shed during hot summers and cold winters. I also don't leave the battery fully inserted between uses. Check the manual for battery storage.

I’m glad I got the more expensive model because it was easy to use and appears to be better constructed. It took me a few tries to learn how to use the feeder for the line, but it works fine. I’ve only used it once, but the only thing that disappointed me was the battery going dead sooner than I expected. I didn’t time it so I can’t tell you how long it lasted, but I had a fully charged battery to start with and it seemed like the battery ran out in less than about 30 minutes. That might get better but either way I’m happy with it overall.

After three uses, very impressed with design and performance. It is light weight and relatively quiet, yet trims quicker and better, with much less arm fatigue than my old heavy corded 5.5 amp trimmer. The enjoyment of using this tool made me trim everything I could find around my .21 sq. ft. lot--all driveway, sidewalk and road edges, foundation and fence overgrowth, etc. The one 4 Ah 20V battery made it through everything I could find to do before it gave out. I don't really need a second battery. Great value for the price!

I bought a weed whacker for approximately the same price at A big box store. It was way too heavy, especially turning it sideways for edging like most landscapers do. I’m over 70 and can’t do that so I read reviews on this Worx string trimmer and I bought it. The head tilts on it for edging and it is a game changer. It has rollers on it so you do not have to lift it. This “old guy” loves it”. It’s also very powerful if you decide to weed whack with it. It’s a great buy for me. I’m pleased with it and the way my edging stands out on my flower beds, super straight cuts!!!

My Hubby's comments... I have always used gas powered but getting older they were feeling heavy and concerned about gas fumes. My property is just under an acre with 3 gardens, numerous trees and fencing around the back. The trimmer is easy to use, lightweight and I did the entire property with just 2 batteries, That even included edging about 150 feet. The battery charged quickly. I definitely would recommend to family and friends.

This machine works well but the battery only lasts 30 minutes. I thought it was suppose to last at least a hour. Doesn't have flower guard. Nevertheless, it is easy to handle. Doesn't cut well. Good power like in the commercials. Battery dies when no juice left. It doesn't decrease in power, this machine just stops without losing power which is excellent so it doesn't waste energy.
