MUCH BETTER than other screw tip bits sold. Exit hole is usually but not always clean. Worst case there's a little chip but far better than the leading screw bits you can get. I am glad I bought these will not use others for large bore wood holes.

I've only had the opportunity to use it once in 2-by framing, but the sharpness of this bit is out of this world and rivals a forstner bit in cutting speed It blows self-feed and spade bits out of the water. If it holds up and takes a new edge well, I will transition the majority of my bits to this brand for my work (electrician).

I have drilled dozens of holes 4-1/2" deep into blocks of sweetgum and yellow pine. It works like a charm. Am now considering getting other sizes, too.

This drill is great. I'm ready to locate a set of similar drills in various sizes. It is fast through wood, and its shaft works great in my Makita.

Absolutely incredible bit Hole edges are smooth as glass and it cuts without pressure. I was using this for recessed LED lights and was using a forstner bit, which I threw away after the first hole with this.

This bit is amazing. It cuts through anything incredibly smoothly. The 1/4" hex shaft allows you to use your standard drills more easily than the larger shank.I've always hater the auger bits sold in big box stores, and paddle bits can just give you a ton of tear out. These bits are amazing, and I plan on only using these in the future.
