These were nice pants in many ways, but the zipper hits right at the knee and so that is uncomfortable. I am not fond of the design detail that has the thigh pocket with an interesting flap. It is interesting, but not flattering. They are also too long for a short person. Besides, I ordered a 10 and got an 8.

I freaking love these pants. I bought four pairs a few years ago for an annual mission trip I go on and then bought another pair later on. This mission trip is in the summer and I've done pretty hardcore work in them (i.e. laying on a stripped roof to knock out a gutter). They have yet to tear or get a hole AND they're so lightweight and breathable that working in and wearing long pants in the summer is like nothing! I'm naturally flexible and, especially when painting, I get into some weird positions, but these pants aren't restricting at all. Also, they clean great (the only stains I have are paint stains!)I've also worn them on a few (easy) backpacking trips, and, again, amazing. I love how you can unzip them into shorts; my sister and I did that after a trip and played in a creek. They're flexible and breathable enough that hiking in them (and later sleeping in them) is no problem! Not to mention, the amount (and depth) of pockets is absolutely wonderful.I would SO recommend these pants to any mission-trip-goers, hikers, campers, and pretty much anyone who does any sort of physical labor! In fact, I'm looking to get a few more pairs but in Army Green or Khaki!P.S.I am 5 ' 4, typically buy a small or medium in pants/shorts, and fluctuate between 125-128lbs. I got a size 8 so they'd be a little extra baggy!

I recently purchased this pair of Toomett convertible hiking pants and I'm impressed. These pants are perfect for outdoor adventures, offering both comfort and functionality. The material is lightweight and breathable, making them ideal for warm weather hikes. But also great for those cooler days when there’s a lot of wind chill. The convertible feature is a fantastic addition, allowing me to easily transform them into shorts when the temperature rises or I want to put my feet in the water. The pants are also surprisingly quiet, a huge plus for me personally. They seem like they have good durability, but that will be a test with time. While the waistband is a bit snugger than I prefer, it doesn't compromise comfort. The length is perfect for me, as I'm on the shorter side. They’re flattering to wear and not overly straight or baggie.Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend these pants to anyone looking for a versatile and comfortable option for their outdoor adventures.

I used these pants for traveling. The large number of pockets allowed me to keep all my documents, cash, and cards organized and secure. They are comfortable and easy to wash/quick to dry.

I love the pants but the sizing is much smaller then advertised. Leg length was over an inch shorter then the size guide. The hip and wait was also smaller then advertised. The pants are very good quality though!

The material on these pants is nice! It feels like actual fabric, where others feel a bit more like the stereotypical reusable shopping bag material (but, I like those pants, too). I couldn't tell how breathable this nicer fabric is just from trying them on. The zippers glide nicely, and the pant legs are easy to remove [sans shoes].I'm 5'7", and "all leg". As pants, they are nice and long, but not overly so. As shorts, they were actually more like capris, coming to the middle of my knee. Size 12 was a smidge too large for my aprox 32" waist, and I didn't want to use a belt for my particular hikes. The included belt seemed to be nice and sturdy woven nylon (much nicer than "strap" material), and has a lovely little white pattern along one edge.Ultimately I decided to return this pair because I wanted shorter shorts, and I didn't like the yellow cording on all of the zippers. I'm sure you could cut the cording off if that was your only dislike of the product. Still an excellent product, and I would recommend you give them a try.

So, I got these in the mail today. I was skeptical at first due to the reviews and lack of a good sizing chart. But they fit great and I expect them to be amazing for the hikes I plan on going on.I'll break down some of the complaints I saw in some of the other reviews or worries I had...Size and fit:I'm a solid size 14 dress size for women. I'm 5'6" and weigh around 200 pounds (I don't really know, it's been a minute since I last weighed myself). I have hips around the 46" mark (dat booty). I purchased the XXL and they fit great! They aren't too tight and I have moving room in them. I am fond of the elastic in the waist as I won't have to worry about plumbers crack when moving around or hiking them up all the time. The length on them is good, but I will say that they do go up a bit high on the waist. These are high waisted pants.Belt:Lord, the belt is terrible. The belt is opened by pressing the front of the "buckle" on the right-hand side (if you're looking down at it, the side that doesn't get removed). I would recommend NOT using it.Pockets:Yep, they're everywhere. Ther is only ONE (1) back pocket, not sure how important those are to you. Two normal pockets that zip up. I don't know how well they will fit my phone (Note 8). I broke my phone case and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow so I don't know how well it will work. Even if you're worried about something falling out of your pockets, don't... they all zip up!Zippers:So, these pants convert into shorts. The zipper on the legs will be covered by a flap of fabric and doesn't seem too uncomfortable to me. The zipper falls below my knee so I don't anticipate them digging in if/when I sit while they're shorts.Noise:Yeah... they make noise when you walk. It's gonna happen. Sounds like you're pumpin' your arms real fast while wearing one of those old-school windbreakers. But seriously, don't let this deter you. If you're having fun and hiking, who cares how much noise your pants make!
