It seems some people are dissatisfied with the angle of the seat mount, some think it’s actually bent. Look at every chair in your house, and you’ll see that they all angle down towards the back. The angle was a bit too much for me also. My quick fix was to just use a couple of furniture shims cut down to size and drill holes in them. While it might not look perfect to some, it definitely reduces the angle and makes my seat more comfortable. As you can see from the picture, even the short seat posts are angled, that’s why there’s an arrow on them showing you which way is the front. This pedestal feels very sturdy and is made well, so I didn’t want to return it. I opted for just trying to make it for me, hope this helps.

I've used it 3x so far with a smaller casting seats. I like the adjustable lever and allows me to lean on it while standing.

It is a very good replacement, comfortable and easy to use. The king pin have a plastic tip that significantly reduce the chances of that the seat pops up when you are sailing of towing, which is nice!

The seat base is mounted at an angle to the seat. One side it’s plumb, but when rotated 90 degrees it’s not plumb.
