Good set to quickly and efficiently twist copper wire together. The bits explain which gauge each are used for. Certainly mad my last electrical task easier,

I've been seeing these advertised strippers - never imagined that I'd like them THIS much! Smooth as butter to get that pesky insulation jacket removed (even tried it with a low power 8v driver with the same results). The wire nut driver is a game changer - makes a super tight connection when use with a powered driver (but it will twist the wires together behind the nut, so make sure to account for that in your leaving-lengths) but also works well with a ratcheting hand driver. Nice little kit to keep with your electrical gear - wish I would have had it years ago!

I found this tool to work pretty well. I only have one project going at this time using only home wiring to put electricity in my 14X14 outside shed. That includes wiring light switches, lights, and wall sockets. Being a DIY person, I had to teach myself how to use it and once I got the hang of it, things started moving OK. To do the job itself, one would need to have some type of training to made sure you are doing it up to code and your job don't go up in smoke. The kit contains the stripper, wire twisting tool (though I've only used one size for this job) and insulated caps (I had to pick up extras). This kit works for me and should work for you with a little practice. I've used the wire twister when I removed a light switch in the kitchen and just covered it up. It is handy to have around and worth the cost.

This is a nifty little kit with both wire strippers and multiple wire twisters that fit in your power drill/driver to make the job of wiring or rewiring a breeze. A hard plastic case safely contains all the bits, and you can just choose which gauge wire with which you will be working. To easily strip off the plastic insulation end of your wires, simply set the depth gauge with the included hex Allen key and allow your drill to quickly remove the unwanted plastic insulation on each wire. You could finish 20 wires in one minute, each stripped to the exact same depth. IF your wire tip comes out with shreds of insulation still attached, adjust your knife in tool — it makes all the difference. The twister bits help you automatically gather multiple wires and evenly twist them together to store in your electrical junction box. I have spent YEARS doing this by hand, and it takes a lot of muscle, concentration and time, and by the end, many of your pigtail wire bundles do NOT look so nice. I wish I knew about this awesome tool earlier in life. Luckily, you can avoid any further frustration by ordering this handy tool kit. Finally, kit even comes with multiple sizes of wire nuts to get you started. Happy twisting!

The lock slips when stripping might as well use longest setting. Still faster than pliers

The Wire Stripper for Drill, 8/10/12/14 AWG Professional Wire Twister Tool Drill Set presents itself as a versatile solution for wire stripping, twisting, and wire nut application, but my experience with this set has been disappointing. While the packaging and initial presentation are appealing, the actual performance left much to be desired.Wire Nut Twister:The tool can accommodate various wire nut sizes due to its deep design. However, smaller wire nuts are difficult to work with because they must be inserted far into the tool, which may not always be practical. I attempted to use the wire nut twister to remove a particularly tight wire nut, but the results were only marginally successful. It managed to loosen the nut slightly but didn’t fully remove it, which limited its effectiveness. Likewise using it to put wire nuts on was also only marginally successful.Wire Twisting Functionality:I used the wire twister to re-twist existing wires while replacing a light fixture. The performance was inconsistent, often mimicking the behavior of removing a stripped screw. Sometimes it worked, but other times it failed to achieve a proper twist, making the process frustrating.Wire Stripping:I tested the wire stripper on various wires and found the results inconsistent, particularly with 10-gauge wire. Initial attempts stripped the wire unevenly, and sometimes the tool shaved the wire rather than stripping it. I adjusted the tool multiple times, cleared the discharge port frequently, and reattempted stripping, but the results remained hit or miss. The discharge port often clogged with insulation, requiring frequent cleaning with a narrow tool, which further slowed the process.Blade Adjustment:The tool does not include clear instructions for adjusting or replacing the blade. While it was intuitive to access the blade with the included hex tool, I discovered that the hex screw holding the blade in place is reverse-threaded. This is not documented, and attempting to remove it the conventional way could easily damage the screw (rendering the tool completely useless). Additionally, the screw was overly tight, making removal unnecessarily difficult.Performance with Other Wire Gauges:When I tested the 12-gauge stripper, it performed more consistently, providing acceptable results. However, this performance was limited to specific circumstances during my short test. I did not have any 8 gauge or 14 gauge wire readily available to test.General Observations:This tool may be more suitable for someone handling a high volume of wire work with consistent wire sizes, such as wiring or rewiring an entire room or house. However, frequent changes between wire sizes or switching between stripping, twisting, and wire nut applications can quickly become cumbersome. Using multiple drills for each attachment might mitigate this issue, but that isn’t practical for most users. While I had high hopes for this set, its inconsistent performance and design challenges left me disappointed. For someone like me, who handles a lot of wiring on a non-professional basis, this tool doesn’t deliver the reliability or ease of use I was expecting. It’s a promising concept, but the execution falls short for me.
