These wiring tools worked well. I found the wire twisting tool to be much more useful than the wire stripping tools. The set came in a nice blow molded case with wire stripping attachments for 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 gauge wires. I usually prefer to strip the smaller 14 and 12 gauge wires using my hand tool. The larger 6 and 8 gauge wires can be more efficiently stripped using the drill and the appropriate attachment. Particularly when I'm working on a job where lots of wire stripping is involved, these tools save time and hand fatigue.The wire twisting device is very useful for obtaining tight twists on several wires in a junction box. This device helps neaten up the junction box quite a bit.

I bought this set because it showed a drill attachment on every stripper. That is not the case, in addition the wire twister is a cheap casting and doesn’t work very well at all. You have to change the stripper on the drill head for each wire size, and have to carry the others loose in your pocket.

It's a great tool, but have to change out stripper head for every awg size. So what is pictured is not what you get. You have to buy the applicator mandrel separate for each awg size to complete the set shown.

Bought this because I was under the assumption that each unit came with a base. Unfortunately it only comes with one and no way to buy more.

I have mixed feelings about this product. It works. In fact, it works surprisingly well. But, use of the set may be more trouble than it's worth, primarily because it is time-consuming to set up and use. Old-fashioned "pliers" style strippers can do the same job far more quickly, with much the same result. However, the drill set might have an edge stripping the same pattern repeatedly - same gauge, same strip length, etc. The set does includes a wire twister attachment - that alone might be worth the investment if for no other reason than the clean, balanced result.It took me a couple of readings of the included instructions to understand use of the set. Truthfully, it's fairly intuitive in most regards, even without the instructions.There is one feature that could have been better described in the instructions, and which I did not find intuitive. The base - what the instructions call the quick connecting rod - is adjustable to facilitate different stripping depths. Getting the hang of how to make the adjustment was challenging. This is where the instructions could use improvement. The patterned sleeve can be pushed forward, away from the drill, but it isn't easy to do. It took me a great deal of trial-and-error effort before I finally had it figured out. I'd recommend making the adjustment before inserting the base into the drill - I found it easier. The trick is to hold the threaded silver section while pushing the patterned sleeve forward, rather than holding the hexagonal center section. This allows small, controlled adjustments in the position of the hexagonal center section (as opposed to holding the center and having it suddenly slip several notches at once due to the pressure being exerted to push the patterned sleeve forward).Would I order this product again? I'm not sure. I am an occasional DIY user, so use of an old-fashioned pliers style stripper is more efficient. However, I do like the wire twister. Supposing I lost my pliers style stripper and this set, which would I replace? Tough call. For a bigger project, probably both.

I have several standard wire strippers so I figured it would be time to upgrade and also get the wire twist attachment. I have not used it yet, but overall, it was a decent price, the case is sturdy, and the range of wire stripping size is most adequate for home DIY'r or light professional use. I would have liked to see the kit come with replacement blades, and from my search on Amazon, that will be the challenge should these not last very long.
