An exceptional volleyball. It is predictable and is a bit on the softer side which beginners and intermediate players appreciate. The weight is perfect and the surface has adequate grip for those perfect sets. For indoor play only (might be okay for beach). The sidewalk will tear it up in no time.

Ok, I don't know about all that high-falutin techno-babble ad copy but I decided to give this ball a try. Now, I'm not a pro or anything, but I've played a lot of volleyball in my day. We used to play about 5 hours a week for many years. And in all that time, the only volleyball I ever liked, which I won't mention by name but it's yellow and white and usually considered the gold standard of volleyballs.Well, this one arrived and my initial impression was "drat, another hard, slick volleyball that I won't like." Well, I just got back from a couple of hours of playing with this ball and I can say I really like it. Not sure I like it as much or more than the aforementioned ball that I'm used to, but it's a darn good ball. I had good serve control with it, it has just enough surface friction to accurately control, and it didn't feel as hard as I initially feared.So, in the top-two of a long line of volleyball experiments. Probably 4.5 stars for the ball, rounded down because of the high cost.
