I Am hunting Eastern’s in Alabama on private land. My only alteration to the decoy was putting 3 wing feathers on each side. Did not have a Jake fan or anything put on it.Toms were not that interested in this as a decoy if they were not with hens. However, I used this on two strutting gobblers with a hen near them and it was a different story. I Snuck in from 80 yards in knee high clover and rye (which I think was a very important part of my success). When the birds saw me they came in on a rope. I was within 2-3 yards at one point from a Tom investigating this decoy. Thought he may attack me. Was able to keep him near me for at least one minute (seemed like 20). Took my shot with the gun barrel through the peep hole. Bird was 3 yards from end of my barrel. 22 lb bird, 10” beard, 3/4” spurs. The memory of this hunt will stay with me forever. It was unreal and it only cost $80.. go ahead and buy this, you won’t be sorry.

My husband was thrilled to receive this decoy! He is very happy with the appearance of it, as well as the fact that it folds up for easy storage. He says that it looks like an expensive and high quality decoy and that he expects it will work well and be easy add to add the feathers. He won't be able to try it out until November, when our Turkey season begins, but he promises to report back after his first hunting trip with additional feedback!

Turkey decoy provides the ultimate turkey-hunt experience! It looks real, it’s the size of a real turkey and there’s cut outs for you to be able to see/ shoot through to get your “real” prize 😉 Turkey comes flat and it is easy to attach the sticks that will support it standing up right. From a distance you can’t even tell that it’s not a real turkey and I cannot wait to use it! Pair it with a turkey call and you got yourself a sweet set up!

I have to say, this decoy is not what I was expecting based off of the pictures that I saw when I ordered this product. The photo shows that the turkey is full of feathers, and that you can add your own feathers. Which leaves you thinking that It comes the way it is shown in the picture and you have the option to add more... Well no. Its not like that at all. The photo is of the added feathers. I removed two stars because the appearance and description is slightly deceptive. However, The decoy itself is pretty strong and sturdy. I feel like it would stand up well to an aggressive male turkey. Its not Turkey season in Alabama so I can't test it first hand right now. It is easy to set up and take down and its light enough to take with me on each trip. After I am able to use it while hunting, I will update if anything changes.

We set it up out back with our own flock of domesticated but aggressive turkeys just to see what would happen and it really works! He was able to hide behind it as instructed and used a call, they came running. He could have reached out and grabbed one if he wanted. Then this morning was saw a hunting show on tv and they were using a Tom to hunt wild turkey and they got 3 at a time with no problem. There won't be any hunting for us this year and he can rest up for now but next year we will be putting Tom to work.

I hope it was helpful to leave the dog in the picture for a size comparison. It comes in a pretty handy carrying bag. It sets up extremely quickly. All of the poles have an elastic string connecting them together. It kind of reminds me of a stuffed animal, but not in a bad way. It's basically flat aside from the head. There are places to attach real turkey feathers. It stays up by pushing the base pole into the ground. Take down is just as easy as setup. Overall it seems like a quality decoy. It's not turkey season here in Michigan, but I'm sure it will be very effective. Personally I feel that it will be most effective along a tree line as opposed to an open field, due to it being flat, but I'm sure most of you are better at chasing gobblers than I am. I'm definitely impressed with this decoy. Seems like it could be a tad cheaper, but I guess you pay for quality and ease of use. This can be packed into the woods with little to no effort. Definitely recommended.
