Whiteside Machine Company was founded in 1970 as a general purpose machine shop in the basement of Bill & Bobbie Whiteside's home. Located in Western North Carolina near the furniture manufacturing town of Hickory, the company was often involved in making repairs or special parts for the furniture and woodworking field. A strong commitment to customer problem-solving, a can-do attitude, and innovative ideas, along with a growing core of dedicated employees, helped the business evolve into a manufacturer of woodworking equipment and tooling. Primarily through repeat business and referrals, the tooling business continued to grow to meet a demand for quality production router bits as well as custom application tooling. Today, Whiteside Machine occupies a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and produces a complete line of solid carbide and carbide tipped router bits. Purchased this bit to replace a cheaper bit that broke under very little pressure. Have used this bit several times making 1/4 deep cuts in hardwood. This far has worked very well.

I've been buying cheap bits because you can get a multipack pretty cheap, but most of the time frankly they suck, not real sharp and dull fast. A friend told me to try a Whiteside bit, I said what? I could buy four for the price of this bit. But it's true you get what you pay for. I decided to spend the money and boy am I glad I did. This bit ia amazing and cuts thru hardwoods like it's butter with little to no tearout. I've used it several times now and still razor sharp. I won't buy any bits now except Whiteside. I've since purchased about six more in the past week and they are all fantastic. I can't say enough good things about Whiteside router bits. I really want to try one of the spiral bits but I'll have to wait till after the holidays. I've heard the spiral bits are super sharp and cut great. Thank you Whiteside, I'll never buy a cheap garbage bit again.

Whiteside router bits are simply awesome. I'm newer to woodworking, and was given a few starter router bits by a friend. I needed one that I didn't have, and another friend suggested trying Whiteside. Once I did, I haven't bought another brand since. They are a bit more expensive than others, but you will ABSOLUTELY see a difference side by side with other bits, even in the same router. Night and day. I can't rave enough about Whiteside. Not to mention the added bonus of being made in the USA. I strongly suggest at least giving a whiteside router bit a try - I am certain you will be a believer.
