First off. Picture showing the interior of the umbrella. The back exterior of the umbrella is BLACK.Interior of umbrella is what is shown on the picture which is SILVER.I bought 2 of of these umbrella's.The first one ordered January 2023, NO issues. Umbrella stays lock and in place even when umbrella is open and drop. The second umbrella purchase April 2023, slight pressure or bumping the umbrella while mounting the umbrella to a light stand causes the umbrella to close. After looking at the locking TAB, there is a difference. The TAB on the umbrella that stay open extend much more out and has a square edge than the other umbrella with a rounder edge that constantly close.Since it took more that 2 weeks to ship, get a replace a replacement will take weeks if I send it back.I just decided to MOD the latch by slightly nicking the top with a Dremel cutting disk and small smooth file.Works fine now after 2 photo shoots.See pix.Hopefully, the manufacturer see this review and fix the issue.Other than the issues address here, this umbrella's are great.

Since there are only two reviews for this umbrella at the moment, I'll chime in.First, I can't believe this umbrella is so cheap! Second, the ribs and struts are fiberglass, which is great because I've had metal ribbed umbrellas bend & break just by looking at them funny. Third, the umbrella shaft seems pretty sturdy. Again, other umbrellas look like they've been chewed on by a rottweiler after just a few uses, but this one is still holding strong.Other things I like about this umbrella:- Velcro strap to keep it closed when not in use (and so I don't have to use the stupid plastic sleeve that came with it).- Having said that, that stupid plastic sleeve is actually decent quality too.- Good build quality overall. I've used this for over a year and it still looks new.Another reviewer mentioned that it warmed up their light by about 400 K. I don't know if they were guesstimating or if they did a test with their raw files, but I did do a test. Mine warms up the light by 150 K. That's pretty damn tolerable for a $20 umbrella.

These seem very well made. The fiberglass stretchers make for smooth curves and the shaft is very sturdy. That sounds dirty! The fabric is thick and does not allow light to bleed through. These seem to make the color temperature of my flash go from ~5,600K to about ~6,000K.I wish they came in a better case/sleeve. The clear plastic sleeve works great for now, but I don't expect it to last too long.

I use this with my SB800 for off camera flash. Works perfectly for off camera flash at weddings and/or location assignments.
