This is one tool that by far is worth the extra money. It is extremely well-made and performs better than I expected. It is worth every penny of the price that I paid since it out last the competition tenfold.

I bought this Weiler Crimped Wire Cup Brush less than a year ago and used it once. I just went to use it again and it literally flew apart and went flying across my shop into the wall. The wire brush element separated from the retention cup while my Dewalt angle grinder was still coming up to speed. It could have seriously injured anyone nearby. Very frightening experience.

I love this wire brush wheel. Strange, I know, but true. I have a 1/4" steel sheet plate that I use as a welding table, and I noticed rust spots starting to form on it. I attached this wire wheel to my big angle grinder, and after sprinkling WD-40 on the steel plate, I was able to remove the rust and put a mirror like finish on it.

Very effective. Seems much more efficient than my Forney and Dewalt wheels at removing old oil based paint and rust scale from steel. Wear safety glasses and a dust mask.

I do a lot of paint stripping, mostly wood, some metal, w/ a 4 1/2" angle grinder, and these are the most long lasting wire wheels I have found. service life is 2-3 times longer than others I have tried. Careful some angle grinders use a metric thread, these are 5/8" X 11.

Looks to be really well made. Very heavy duty. Knocked off one star because nut is somewhat thin and when you screw it onto your grinder, good luck finding a 1 & 1/16 wrench that’s thin enough to fit. Finally just used some big pliers and got it as tight as I could. My old wire cup had the nut on the inside instead of the cup so it was very easy to get a socket on it.

I used this for a big log railing refinishing project, using a 4 inch angle grinder. I went through 4 different sizes and 3 makes of wire cup brushes. They all did a spectacular job of quickly removing old weathered wood and leaving a good finish in preparation for painting or staining. I tried a 3, 3.5, 4, and 5 inch brushes. The 3 inch proved to be the best for the four-inch angle grinder. The Weiler and the Forney brushes gave good service. The DeWalt brush failed and lost bristles very quickly. Price does matter. If you're thinking of using this tool for this application, be sure to wear long sleeves and a face mask. At the end of the day your clothes will be full of bristles.
