They do lend to being able to grip the bar better, but it may take some time getting used to, especially if the feeling of the gap is bothersome, but after enough time, you get accustomed to it and it does the job.

I think these are a solid product. They aren’t top tier grips, but they suffice for their intended use. A great purchase for the price.

Bought product because I’m a big guy with big hands. Having the extra 1” diameter feels better but they are not very wide, my pinky has to hang off the side.

Added these to a weight machine with multiple activities. Bench press had medal bars. Added these grips. Added cushion make it less stressful on hands/wrists. Worth the money.

I should've bought this these sooner for the 1" inch barbell, it helps levitate palm soreness which overtime developed into thumb and wrist injuries. The grips become a bit softer and grippy with use and they are a bit too short for my medium hands which is why I gave it 4 stars.

Does exactly what I need it to do, make the handle thicker. I have large hands and I like to train my grip. The thicker handle when I lift makes my thumb activate more and makes my forearms strain a lot harder than without these grips. Could use a litte more knurling for my tastes but other than that no complaints.

I love the grippers! Totally enhance better grip support as you gain forearm strength, and u don't have to worry about callouses.
