About Weaver
Founded by Harry A. Weaver in 1973 as the Fryburg Shoe Shop, Weaver grew from humble beginnings into the trusted manufacturer of a wide range of leather and nylon goods it is today. In the beginning, Harry concentrated on shoe repair, but before long he recognized the potential to expand into other markets. The fledgling company began handcrafting leather horse and cattle halters. The popularity of these halters led to the manufacture of more and more items prompting Weaver to become a driving force across various industries including equine, livestock, leather supply, pet, arborist, tool gear and custom manufacturing.

I like the ease of attaching it to the bit and I really like the lenght of these Slobber straps. The weight is nice as well.

Well oiled and nice quality just a bit big. I prefer smaller slobber straps for less interference with my reins. However I don't even like metal snaps for barrel reins because the jiggle a bit so to each their own.

these suckers are flippin huge! and they create a weird "break" in the rein due to how oddly long and heavy they are..sent them back as they really didnt look great due to the hugeness of them. other than that they are will made, nice leather, crazy huge branding on em...no one will mistake whos name is on em as it to is HUGE.

The design prevents the Mecate Reins from hanging naturally flush. There’s an awkward twist unlike traditional slobber straps.

Materials and construction are good, and the action is excellent. Weight and action are good. The slobber straps give a definitive difference in feel to the horse between a released rein and light contact. Especially helpful for relatively light reins. Very easy to switch between bridles, or switch reins. With a snaffle (or for that matter any bit), a distinct and well timed release is essential to rewarding the horse for proper response to a cue.

The quality of the leather is excellent, they are very easy to get off and on with the buckle, and they're extra large, for those who want that extra weight on the reins. Very happy with these.

The weight and length of the straps is just right. The weight lets the horse know he has done the right thing with the release of pressure. The length is just the extra I needed to make my roper reins work well.
