This aftermarket exhaust pipe offers great value for an expendible car part. This is the second Walker replacement mid pipe I installed on my 2001 PT Cruiser. It does not last anywhere nearly as long as the OEM mid pipe. Differences from OEM are: thinner guage steel and the shape is not mandrel-bent so there are "wrinkles" in it which may increase back pressure. This is not a problem for a daily driver/commuter car though. The expanded section at the front is longer than required which may add flexibility in installion (ie, ability to move the whole system including the muffler forward and back to optimize placement) but unfortunately, enhances rusting there. The one hanger is welded to the pipe (typical) is properly located to match OEM is the first place the pipe rusts through. Second rust location is where the pipe attaches to the muffler followed by the front section.
